You are exactly right. If you get beat don't let it be because of Cox and Stepp.

Now, how to contain them may be another matter, but I think it can be done.

 

BTW, and I'm not positive about this so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think June Buchanan has ever played at Owsley County since the school was formed, and I can't remember Owsley going to Pippa Passe either. I know Owsley beat them in the finals of the 2000 All A at Dilce Combs, but other than that, I can't recall the Owls playing them in the past. Maybe I'm wrong.

Professor, I believe Owsley Co. played JBS in the Regionals when Charlie Turner was Coach . It was in the 1st round the same year Buckhorn beat Owsley in the Semi- Finals by 6 pts. then went on to beat KCC in the Championship . I think it was 1989

The year Buckhorn beat Owsley 5 points was 1988, and the Wildcats went on to win the region, and repeated again the next year...where they also defeated Owsley in the semifinals.

I certainly hope it works out for both schools :thumb: . Owsley and Lee would have big crowds....and it would be great for our district. But the semifinal and final games are not at Dilce Combs, they have been moved to the Sherman Neace Center, M C Napier's old gym. The reason was for better parking conditions.

Owls look to be pulling it all together at the right time.

This will be a great game. JBS is one of the best teams in the region, and Owsley has started playing well. This will be a great game and a great atmosphere for a ballgame.JBS is good team but I dont see them leaving the Palace with a win. Owsley will win a close one. Owsley seems to always do well in the ALL A.

i may very well be wrong, but i can't see the owls getting a win. JBS not only has one of the top all a teams, but may well be the best team in the 14th region.

Owsley Co. in a close one as they start earning some respect.

I expect a big crowd, and the Owsley principal probably already has her pep section organized (being a former coach herself). I agree, it should be a great atmosphere.

 

 

As a fan from the 13th I remember the atmosphere she left at our school...at the beginning of the 3rd quarter the refs had to get her girls to stop shooting the 1/2 court shots to get the game started. It was a joke. Her team was down like 25 points and they acted as if they could care less. I was amazed when I found out that she is now a principal at Owlsey. Any relation to why the Owls have only won 3 games this year ?
