I knew I had heard that back durring the season just didn't know who it was gonna be.

2006 football season will be very exciting for corbin football fans. You will be impressed with all the hard work these men are putting in during the off season. It will show in the first game. Adding to an already talented group, K French and M Campbell will help take our Hounds all the way.

Corbin needs Campbell and French to stay healthy this year, these two should be playmakers for the Hounds on both sides of the ball. What is Campbell benching now? I thought that I saw his numbers posted on the wall at the fieldhouse as benching 325 lbs., not too bad for a freshman.

Micheal Campbell is benching 325 lbs which is the highest on the team. He also squatted 320 which comming off a broken foot is not that bad.

What position are Campbell and French going to play next year? Also does anyone want to take a stab at the projected depth chart for Redhound Football '06?

I think that Campbell will play RB and LB. French will play LB and either RB or WR, although at 6'2" 195 he would be a big WR.

I'm not sure about French's speed but with that size, he would be an animal at safety. He could be the DB that we've been looking for. Like I said, I don't know much about his speed but do know he is a great athlete. He has that hitman mentality too. From what I hear, he has the mean streak of a rattlesnake and will knock your block off out on the field.

How big is Campbell now? I've heard Cashen is close to 6'1" 230 (although he doesnt look as tall due to thickness) and Campbell is a lot broader than Clint? Also does anyone have Clint's lifting numbers?

I coached both in middle school and they both will be linebackers french will be a wideout but will carry the ball some campbell will be a fullback but freeman and sanders will get the first nod but should be very competitive this year the depth is there line is getting stronger should be a very good year for the redhounds.

MY PREDICTIONS

Rockcastle @ Danville L

Oldham or E. Jessemine (Cumberland Falls Pigskin Classic) W

South Laurel TOSSUP

Lexington Christian L

Bell County L

@Pulaski Co. W

@Middlesboro W

@Wayne County W

Casey County W

@Garrard County W

Either 7-3 or 6-4. They have some very good out of district games, which will get them ready to dominate their district again. They can make a very good playoff run in 2006 if the younger guys step up from their frosh-junior classes. In 2007, they could be very dangerous, ... VERY dangerous.

There are some new kids out who may or may not factor in, we will just have to wait and see how it plays out, but these players should all see significant playing time this year(some at positions different than what I have listed here).

QB - Cashen

RB - B. Freeman, Stewart

FB - Sanders, Campbell

WR - Madon, L. Freeman

WR - French, Wagers

TE - Light, French

OT - Hayden, Mocahbee, Martin

OG - Nolan, Woods, Woody

C - Taylor, Miller

DE - Woody, Miller, Woods, Light

DT - Nolan, Martin, Mocahbee, Taylor

LB - Martin, Sanders, Stewart, Campbell, French, B. Freeman

CB - Martin, L. Freeman, Mitchell, Wagers

Why do you think the Rockcastle game will be a loss?I disagree. Corbin has many more players retunig than Rock. They will have many more athletes on the field than Rock. Rock lost many good players on both sides of the ball.

It's good to see so many kids out for football, there are 73 out now(only 6 seniors) and lifting weights though I'm sure that several will not stay with it.

73 is a great number to start out Spring Ball with although I do think there are close to 10 or 12 seniors now. I couldn't list all the names but I do remember hearing that number. Does that include the basketball players? If it does hopefully 73 will be moved up to 74 or 75;).

I was watching the football banquet on the Redhound channel the other day. Coach Farris made a great statement that with small schools, teams should be willing to share athletes. Obviously, Corbin does share athletes with so many multi sports players such as Cashen, French, Hamlin (bball baseball), ect. I just wish there would be more encouraging rather than just allowing the kids to play more than one sport. Sure there are athletes with goals to play one sport in college that would benefit both teams and could risk injury but they also may be missing out on a lifetime of memories and a couple months of fun.

Could you imagine a lineup of..

QB - Cashen

RB - B. Freeman, Stewart

WR - Madon, L. Freeman, French, CRAWFORD, BARLEY

TE - Light, French, DEVON ROGERS, ?????????;)
