You seem to be very knowledgeable of Anderson opponents...

 

I won't go through every single game but I do know that Manual was done a couple of kids and Dunbar was without the same guard that has yet to play a single game this season. As far as I know every other opponent was at full strength.

 

But as long as we are making excuses I guess we could add the a key reserve for AC missed significant time and a projected starter at the beginning of the season has yet to play a single game.

 

I do agree with your point that early season basketball often times can be overvalued...especially holiday tournaments with so many games in such a short amount of time. However, when evaluating where teams currently stand in regards to region and state rankings this is all we have to go on.

 

Your opinion that Anderson is not as good as the results may suggest is fine. I don't think Notre Dame is the best college football team in the country, but I cant argue with their past results that have put them in a position to be ranked so highly.

 

Anderson is ranked where they are because they have beaten/demolished several quality opponents. The same can be said of most of those top teams on the list. However, there are still several games to be played and I'm sure we'll see different teams go up and down as the season moves on. These mathematical formulas have a way of becoming more and more accurate the more data they have to go off of. The nice thing about sports is that most of the time it is decided on the playing field....these computer rankings just give us something to talk about until the actual games are played.

Glad to see Conner getting some much deserved recognition. They have been playing very well the last couple of weeks. Hopefully Madi Meyers will return in the next week or so and provide the Cougars with a strong inside presence.

Won't go into details, but E-town was down a couple of players all Xmas break, and started 1 Jr., 2 Soph., and 2 Frosh, and they hung in there pretty well for playing the #2 team. But it doesn't matter if you loose every game from the end of Nov. to middle of Feb. It all depends on what formula you have and if it works in district play...

Coach Kays is a fine coach who knows what to do and when to do it, and his Lady Bearcats are a good group that has experienced both success and disappointment the past couple of years. They're well on their way to a great year, but it's too early to be at peak performance. There is much time between now and post-season, and for them to do what they ultimately want to do, well, it's not easy to maintain what they have been doing for two more months. However I am sure they want to do just that and will continue to work that end.[/quote

Above is the previous post where you said Etown was down a couple players. Now where I come from that means she didn't play. Before making yourself look bad, realize what you say before saying. And no Powell would not start---EVER.

Panther and Frank James, you guys are fairly new to the BGP and transplanted veterans from another statewide website, right? Your name tags look familiar to me from somewhere else? Powell did start last year until a torn ACL. If she could get back to full speed, yes she could start!!

Look Frank and Panther Pride, what Etowns problem is that Mudd isnt playing his best players. Everyone in the state knows Boley, Cleaver, Huff, Livie Bowling are by far the best players. Everyone else is just a role player at best. They should just play with 4 most of the time.
