From the Republic Bank Classic,

• KNOTT CENTRAL 65, SIMON KENTON 47. The Patriots hit 26 of 36 free throws as they improved to 10-0. Sophomore Camron Justice led the way with 26 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Evan Hall had 17 points, 10 rebounds. Simon Kenton couldn’t overcome 27% shooting.

Ouch, 27% won't win you many games. We must have missed a ton of treys.

Pioneers off to a rough start with the forfeit and loss in 2nd game.

SK didn't forfeit, they had a first round bye.

My bad, I was confusing them with Scott. Thanks

Knott County won the rebounding battle 47-22 including 17-8 on the offensive glass. It was men vs boys on the inside.

Knott County went 26-36 from the foul line which helped kill the late Simon Kenton charge. It was an ugly second half in which Knott only made 5 second half fg's.

Lack of a leader and a glue guy are really holding this SK team back.

I know it's killing you to see that guy on the bench.

It sucks, that's for sure.

Who is "that guy?"

My guess is Ayers......

Great kid, but they will be fine. Have to make the best of what you have.

This was a closer game than the score indicates.

It was a six point game with four minutes to go. SK had some very good looks, but just couldn't hit the big shot to get it to a one possession game.

KCC is really good with some young talent.

Saying this team lacks 'leaders' is offensive to the guys on the squad that are there everyday doing what they can.

For those that saw the game how good was Justice?

How? No one person has stepped into the leadership role. I have no doubt someone will, but no one has stepped up yet.
