???? Care to explain? There are times when a coach needs to "get a point across" to his starting five if they are not playing hard. Reynolds Flynn, back in the day, was a master of getting his players refocused. This happens with every team.

Some coaches are thinking about March instead of a game in December. Dixie has a lot of young talent. No reason for the cheap shot at Dixie and it's players.

Ennam's comments ticked me off. Sounds to me like Dixie needs to worry about itself, not about how excited Conner should or shouldn't be over this win.

These comments and the actions the coach had to take could lead one to assume that the attitude exhibited by Mr. Pike may still be prevalent at Dixie.

So this really wasn't a true win in your opinion due to the fact that Dixie played terrible and Hatton was in foul trouble?

 

Due to the fact that kids who have played major minutes for every other game vanished to the bench in the first half and never returned... and kids who haven't played varsity minutes all year were being inserted in the first half.

 

I get that this sounds like sour grapes, but anyone with any familiarity with Dixie this year will tell you that was not our main group of players out there.

 

I feel Conner caught Dixie on a good night (for Conner)... just like when Dixie's football team beat Conner and Barker this year. Nice win, but didn't mean that Dixie's football team was all of a sudden a better team than they were.

 

Either way, it wail all play out through the remainder of the year. Well see

As much as your earlier post did scream Sour Grapes I can actually live with this description. I do think Conner players and coaches should do cartwheels though after this win considering some of their earlier losses.

Not totally offbase.

 

The one main difference is that the fact that Conner was playing without their best player for quite a few games so it's not like Dixie was playing the team that got hammered by CCH or lost to Cooper.

 

The better analogy would be to say it's like if Dixie football had struggled without the young QB and he came back and Dixie was a completely different team.

 

Using anything prior to last night to judge Conner's ability to win is for fools. They're a solid team and are as good as Dixie. Period.

 

Until Dixie shows they can find some other ways to score they are going to live and die with one player who cannot be Superman every night.

 

So come up with every excuse you can for last night. The simple fact is they got beat by a good team who made Hatton's night hard.
