Cooper 61 Conner 50

Featured Replies

Cooper had a really good 1st qtr, their size was too much for Conner. #5 for Conner is a baller, but PAdgett without Drew playing had big Lou to try and cover and the size was too much. Spencer Holland had another really nice game for Cooper and Aj Collins went on a tear draining 4 straight 3's in the first half.

Officiating was questionable, a lot of fouls called and Conner had a lot of traveling calls, must of been 8 or so called against them in the game. Conner had a lot of fight in them and never gave up. Good game, Cooper has some true shooters and could make for a fun year.

Conner was down 19 after 3.

How did it get to 11? Was that the closest it got?

I think it got down to about 9 at one point. Game got very physical and then a bit sloppy.

Cooper thought the game was over with about 3-4 minutes to go and Conner stole the ball from them about 5 (?) times.

Cougars with a nice run at the end Clyde. Cut it to 8 I believe. Collins lit it up early on and that was the difference. I don't believe he scored in the 2nd half. Morris even joined the party and hit a couple of timely 3's.

Rematch should be fun.

About where I expected this game to be. Will be interesting to see how this game plays out later in the year. How long is Barker out?

Seemed like the starters spent a lot of time on the bench. Cooper has a lot of weapons for sure.

After Cooper went up by 20 or so, coach Sullivan started using the whole bench (which is good). Conner players never quit and cut it to 9 with just under a minute to go in game. The game was never in doubt but Cooper got lazy with the ball late in the game and Conner cut it down to single digits. A good lesson for Cooper early to never let your guard down.

Cooper was the better team last night. They punched Conner in the mouth early and Conner could never fully recover. Impressed that Collins has already found his shooting stroke after only being back with the team for a very short time. His 4 3's in the 1qtr really set the tone. I don't know if the outcome would have changed, but Barker definitely would have helped Conner, especially inside. Maniacci's length gave Padgett fits all night. I'd say he has at least 6 inches on him. Props to Conner for continuing to fight after being down big early. I've seen other teams completely fold in similar situations. Hemmerich is really pressing right now. Needs to let the game come to him.

Both teams are back at it tonight on the road. Cooper at Campell Cty and Conner at CCH. Then Conner has to go to Ryle on Thur. Tough/busy schedule this week as a result of rescheduling the Cooper game.

seemed like everybody from Conner got caught watching Hemmerich shoot all night, great energy could be tuff by the end of season
