9th Region All A

I like HC to win it this year. I think the winner of HC Beechwood semi-final game will win the all-a.

How deep does hc go?

I'd say 9 usually.

I had HC as a slight favorite to win earlier, but after Beechwood's showings against CCH, South Laurel & Holmes, I'd have to make them a slight favorite even though they lost those games.

I originally liked Holy Cross in this, but Beechwood is looking more and more for real!! Throw in NCC, Ludlow, Newport and St. Henry and its probably wide open!!

Look for Newport to take advantage of playing on their home court. It's payback time for Beechwood and then Holy Cross. In the top bracket, look for the Thoroughbreds to get hot!! But not Hot enough to beat the Wildcats in the Championship!!!

Understand its Newports home floor, but HC already beat them at Newport once, so how much of an advantage is it really?

Not much really.

It is, if you make it. You just don't get home court advantage, you have to realize and take it. Let's see, no bus ride, you have your own locker and lockerroom, the court and rims that you have played on the most, and the fans or the sixth man!!! Now that would have to make a little difference!

A bus ride? HC players show up in cars probably to the ALL A and most live no more than 8-10 minutes away.

It is wide open, but one little team has a lot to prove. ;)

Home court can be key, if the intensity is match early and the crowd support is vocal, otherwise confidence will grow for the visitors....

What about Bellevue? Can they knock off Villa and potentially a 2nd round opponent? What happened to that 3 pt shooter they had last year.... had the most 3pt'rs in NKY, he was a jr......grades,hurt, transfer?

Bellevue already knocked off Villa earlier this year so that question is answered. Semis round would be St. Henry or NCC who Bellevue lost to 87-37 so unlikely.

Mchale, that was the Bellevue kid's name. He could shoot and would have complimented their backcourt.....but you are correcto... I remember NCC drubbed them and St. Henry is always strong in the All A. That will be a battle in itself.

The tigers could beat Villa in a close game, they beat Villa earlier this year by 5. No way they advance past that game however. NCC beat them earlier this year by 7 touchdowns + and St. Henry may be better than NCC.
