Let's just say that Coach Schneider will be pretty proud. Two former teammates and ex Breds leading their teams to the finals. Congrats, Randy.

Congratulations to Cooper. I'd mentioned earlier that I'd be interested to see the outcome of this one, and without knowing the full details, it looks like the game didn't disappoint my expectations of a semi between two schools playing with their first trip to state in school history on the line.

I'm guessing bob Burnett coaches the line? Not sure who the other coaches are but he has a lot of playoff experience.

Congrats to the boys and coaches at Cooper. Hard fought game. Well played by both teams. Harlan took the opening kickoff and marched straight down the field for a touchdown. I thought Cooper was in for a long night. Harlan would not score again.

It was a tough game all the way around. HC marched down the field after the opening kickoff and scored. They are one tough team to stop. Their defense, especially their D Line is incredibly tough. They stopped Cooper on their first drive and then both teams had a tough time the rest of the first half.

 

Cooper scored on a long drive after a big run by Bricking and a late hit penalty after he was out of bounds and cooper followed that penalty with their first TD to tie it.

 

Right before the half, HC drove inside the redzone only to shoot themselves in the foot with back to back penalties and couldn't capitalize as they went into halftime tied. Cooper also had a shot right before half with the ball on the 15 but Morris got sacked on the last play of the half.

 

Cooper got the ball after half and came out throwing and turned a 3rd and 17 into a TD on a Morris to Morgan pass. Then followed it up with a 29 yard FG to go up 17 -7. That's when coopers defense stepped up, even when HC had Cooper pinned back on the 1 and another possesion on the 3 cooper had to punt both times from the back of their endzone and held the Bears from scoring both times.

 

Cooper's run game wasn't much of a factor for the first time all year, but their defense stepped up big after allowing HC to score on their first drive of the game, they shut them down the rest of the way. Some big penalties cost both teams. HC had 1 TD called back due to a penalty and Cooper had 1 called back and another huge play called back also or the game could OG been more like a 31 - 14 score, but thankfully the officiating didn't cause the game to go either way.

 

HC will be a great team for years to come with their style of football. Cooper once again traveled well for the fourth week in a row as their fans came out in droves again. They even had their band their which was cool because HC didn't have a band that I saw.

 

Congrats again Jags, your dream season continues for another week.

Congrats to the Cooper coaches, players, cheerleaders and fans what a great year to be having in only their 5th season as a football team. When I first went to Cooper is when the school was dedicated to Randy Cooper my brother in law. They did a first class act then and I only new in time they would reap the benefits of this new school. Congrats and I know Randy Coop Dog Cooper would be proud if he was with us today. Good luck next week and WIN STATE!!!!!!!!! JD

Congratulations to Coach Borchers, his staff and most of all the Cooper Jags on their outstanding win against Harlan Cty. Good luck next week at state. Bring home a winner.

Just got back from vacation and hated to miss this game. Congrats to the young men from Cooper and I will certainly be there Saturday as I hear most of the Jag fans will be there as well. Win or lose, you had a great run!!
