Johnson Central wins by 4; Kyle Rice had 22 points; 14 for McCarty

Good win Johnson Central. I'm guessing the Paintsville fans will say that they were cheated. Just kidding.

I figured JC would win this game. It's always nice to win at Paintsville. I just don't think Paintsville has gotten into their groove yet.

Very nice game. The star for Paintsville was definately Shane Grimm, hitting 3's when they were desperately needed. Tyler Whitaker and Kyle Rice Were two other stand outs in this game. Go Eagles!

Good defense was the key to tonights win for JC. Whitaker, Meek, and Blanton all pretty well shut Slone down, and Jamie McCarty did a heck of a job on JD VanHoose.

 

Outstanding game for Kyle and Jamie. Ryan Fannin had a big night on the boards for JC. Sean Music gave some excellent minutes off the bench as well.

 

Great game for Shane Grimm of Paintsville.

 

 

Great High School basketball game.

This is not really a surprise as either of these teams could beat the other on a given night! Apparently Paintsville as a team continues to stay in their slump. Nice to see Grimm step up for a big game. He kept it from being a blowout. JC hasn't really hit their potential yet either! We can only look to Round II to see which team improves the most the rest of the season!

Way to go Eagles. Excellent coached game by Coach Starns. The substitution rotation and the defensive adjustments were great. Great team effort by everyone. Not very often that a visiting coach come into Paintsville and matches BMR coaching move for coaching move. I remember several post when Coach Starns was hired that said he would probably go 3 years without beating Paintsville. This is Kentucky high school basketball where on any given night anyone can win. :dancingpa :dancingpa

 

Not being critical of the officals but I know that one was Wallin and the other was Walker? Could someone tell me who the third official was?

Congrats to Landon on passing 1,000! But with that said, if Landon wants to go to the next level, he has got to start handling the pressure D! He hasn't been all that impressive this year for some reason when he is pressured! In some ways, he played better as a freshman!

This was a good high school game, between two rivals. Congratulations to the Eagles and Coach Starns, he coached every play to help get this win.

 

Kyle Rice was unstoppable in the 1st half and Fannin moved great without the ballfor the Eagles.

 

Grimm played a really good game tonight, along with Bundy for the Tigers.Some good defense on both sides, with the game being decided on the floor by the players.

 

Good win for the Eagles and I hope my Tigers win at Central.
