This is a forum. Like you said. Freedom of speech. If someone comes on here and talks smack, I think you'd be naive to think (yes, even adults) won't talk back. Do you think everyone was born to dislike SK or do you think that developed overtime because of SK posters. People don't come to a forum to ignore posts. You keep saying "all the SK bashers" are always on here and its effecting the team. Well where do you think the bashing came from?? Again, the SK posters have drawn a lot of attention to their team, some good and some bad. The SK posters created this! If the kids are hurt by it, have them look inside. But I know it's always someone else's fault.

Funny you should say that. I like ukfan. He cracks me up. However, if you are going to excuse his posts and his actions on here then you're just as guilty. He makes people despise SK and without his antagonizing posts imagine the love that SK would get on here for their spectacular season. Again, I like the dude but if I was a Conner fan I would despise the ground he walks on. And all because he can't handle the fact that Barker is getting more pub than Kuntz. Every post UK makes is to belittle someone who doesn't have ties to SK and it gets old. I'm so glad SK can't beat SC because I can give it back to him but at the end of the day I feel bad for the kids at SK who may read my posts and think I am against them when truthfully I just want to shut him up. You say how about adults setting the example and I say how about starting with your own. I used to frequent other message boards but there were 50 guys posting stuff like he does just trying to enflame people all of the time. I want to root for everybody and talk about it without having the desire to see a team lose so their fans will shut up. Adults setting the example? Start with one of your own. BGP is better than that.

jolmstead, I dont disagree with what you are saying, but to put that on everyone else is enableing uk, as with any other bad behavior, enableing someone only emboldens them to continue with that path of poor behavior in the future.

Actually, our kids do read the posts here and the anti SK sentiment is becoming a problem.

 

I don't know that it's becoming a problem, I do believe that the players enjoy the underdog role and can use that as extra motivation. I'm hoping the Scott Co. players and coaches are reading this thread and watching alot of Hudl of Trinity/St. X and thinking this one is in the win column.

 

Wondering how the mighty Cards would do faced with some adversity for a change- would they fight or fold? I'd guess that they'd fight but they could fold just as easily (see 2012 playoffs).

Blue Grass Preps is a great site to talk about foootball, but when people post or reply to threads just to get someone going its not realy talking football are Friday Nights game. I do think it should be about the teams and what they need to do to win. You do this by talking about offence, defence and special teams and their ability to overcome the weakness to win the game. I pay no attention to anyone who does not dicuss the game in this manner. UK # 1 happens to be this type of person and its ashame he drags SK team into the type of adversity they now read. Its a game played by kids and what makes it fun is on Friday night anything can happen in the kids mind when the score is 0 to 0. I am a Scott County Fan and I hope we see a good game to night, and who ever wins I wont them to walk out on the field next Friday thiniking they can win.

Unfortunately for the KIDS, it's not the program that folks are attracted to. I think that's the point people are trying to make. The boys played an amazing game last week and beat a heavily favored Camels team, yet all that gets talked about is you and UK's ridiculous statements.

OK, I'll amend that to strong favorite. I saw no one other than SK fans picking SK. Every TV broadcast I watched, called it an upset.

 

What I was saying is that it would be nice for the kids if all the attention was about what they were doing on the field. Because they are doing an awesome job. As-is the Coach. Unfortunately, there are other reason why there is extra attention in the SK threads. And it's not a positive one.
