There was no flag called for the tackle. The first flag was on an FC player that pushed the Conner player that made the tackle. The second flag was on a Conner player for shoving the FC player. The third penalty was on the.FC head coach.

FC, to answer someone's question, has a lot of weapons but Timmons is a game-changer. He and Quick are a bit different but both are studs and I'm not sure there's a difference. Two best players I've ever seen in person.

 

Two strong-armed QBs in this one. Fun to watch. Both threw a deep ball about as well as you can.

 

I'm surprised Timmons doesn't get more touches.

 

Key plays that hurt Conner:

 

Up 30-13 with the ball and they fumbled and it was returned for a TD. On the ensuing kickoff no returner came up to get the short kick and it bounced back to Franklin County. Scored quickly thereafter. Got the ball back and scored again. 3 TDs in about 4 or 5 minutes. Went from a deficit of 17 to being up 4 at half.

 

Conner failed to guard the seam route on two long plays that resulted in FC scores.

 

Neither D could stop the other team. The numbers/stats will be crazy again.

U of L target/Conner QB Drew Barker had 296 yds and 3 TDs passing and 106 yards and a TD rushing in Conner's 62-59 loss to Franklin Co.

 

I'd say he had about 125 to 130 yards rushing but 2 snaps rolled past his feet where he lost about 20 yards.

What an emotionally wrenching and rewarding game! So proud of my Flyers! It was an amazing will to win that got our kids through! Sorry folks, but Timmons has just got to be Mr. Football - best I've ever seen as a game changer. Plays with 1 other D1 kid. Quick plays with 17 D1 kids. Congrats to Conner and Coach Trosper on an amazing two year run of their own. 22, 7, 13 and 29 are legit! I was proud to congratulate them on their great performances after the game. Classy kids! This next week should be so much fun at school and in the community!

Franklin County outlasts Conner 62-59. Ryan Timmons runs for 184 yards, 4 TDs. Conner piles up 601 yards in the loss.

I'm not sure there's a more underappreciated/underrated kid in NKY that Jesse McKeehan. Kid is REALLY good. Fast , strong, cuts really well.

Is this two years in a row that Conner sets a state record at Franklin County?

 

Last year they set the record for team rushing yards (750 or so).

 

Tonight they had to set a record for onside kicks with 10.
