I wasn't at the game, but following the updates on here I also saw where Conner got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the first half also, what happened there?

 

Why is Conner the only team that always gets into these discussions and why are you always defending them like they never did anything wrong??

It was odd. On one TD FC got an unsportsmanlike and on the next TD Conner got an unsportsmanlike yet there was no obvious penalty ie late hit or face mask. My guess it the crew was going to keep a tight grip on it and nailed both teams for possibly words that came out of their mouth. Not sure.

That makes some sense. I wondered what happened, just saw it in the updates but no explanation.

Here's what I would tell Logan Woodside regarding the last play (and possibly the coach).

 

There was no chance for Conner to stop the clock. None. The game was in hand.

 

Therefore, you tell your QB to IMMEDIATELY take a knee and give the ball to the white hat. That way no defender gets close enough to hit you and you eliminate the chance to fumble the ball on some freak occurrence. Again, Conner had no chance to do anything.

 

When you try to run off extra seconds by waiting to take the knee you allow the defender to get a run at you. When you take a knee right before the defender gets to you you're inviting bad things to happen - legal or otherwise. It's not worth the chance.

 

Take a knee immediately and get out.

That is the first I heard that explanation and it makes sense now. If that was the case then I p[ut the blame on FC's QB for doing just that.

 

Play until the whistle.

 

On a side note, I hope Fogle will make a full recovery of his foot. I'm looking forward to watching him play baseball this year.

I cant say I saw what happened. I looked away and missed it. In no way am I BLAMING Logan. He did what he thought was best or what the coach told him. I'm saying it wasn't necessary and should be a learning experience. Conner may have played past the whistle. No clue.

Curtain, why the comments. He played a great game. Scored 3 TD. Rushed for well over 100 and over 100 receiving. One fumble and you make this statement like he had a bad game?

One more thing, no excuses but everyone should know that he played the last 3 games with a stress fracture in his ankle and a broken thumb from last week.

QOP, where did I say he had a bad game? That was your assumption. I said he didn't have his best game. I'm not attacking at all. He is a very good player as I stated.

 

I thought he had two fumbles and I thought he should of caught or fair caught the kickoff that the Flyers recovered during Conner's two minute meltdown.

 

He is a player that is fun to watch. Lots bringing up his injuries as if those were the reasons for some mistakes. Maybe they had something to do with them, not sure.

 

No need to get so defensive. I have seen him play in 4 games this year, it was not his best. Nothing but respect and admiration for the young man. Hope he heals up nicely and plays well in the All Star game.

He hurt his shoulder early in the game on the failed 2-pt conversion. Couldn't hardly lift it for a while. In the 4th , as you mentioned, he took a shot from a blitz from the right while he was looking left. He took a lot of hits last night as always. It's part of the game when you run a lot. It helps when you have his size.

Let's give Dave Trosper credit for pulling his team and ending the game with 26 seconds left. Emotions were running high on both sides. Both had just been penalized. Good call to say "you win - let's not let this get out of hand."

So I'm curious. Does Timmons play like Fogle? What I mean is this, does he take as many snaps as a RB as he does spread out as a reciever, or does he strictly play as a RB who also is a reciever out of the backfield?
