Romney at it again!

Featured Replies

Asked by moderator John King of CNN whether that would include disaster relief, Romney said: "We cannot afford to do those things without jeopardizing the future for our kids. It is simply immoral, in my view, for us to continue to rack up larger and larger debts and pass them on to our kids."

His new position now:

"A Romney-Ryan administration will always ensure that disaster funding is there for those in need," said campaign spokeswoman Amanda Henneberg. "Period."

Romney's campaign says he's not interested in getting rid of FEMA, though Romney himself ducked a spate of opportunities Tuesday to clarify his position. The campaign instead issued a statement that essentially endorsed the current disaster aid system.

It's difficult to tell where this candidate stands on a lot of issues.

Whichever direction the wind is blowing at the time.

And that makes him different than Obama in what way? Surely you are not buying the Romnesia line are you? Because I can give you a link to where Obama has contradicted himself multiple times and has even pulled off the highly unusual double secret flip flop.

Same can be said for Obama. They both flip flop all of the time.

Glad that Obama PROMISED to close GITMO, oh wait another promise he didnt keep because the wind was blowing in the opposite direction at the time.

Whatever Obama's done doesn't justify Romney backpeddling on this.

"Every time you have an occasion to take something from the federal government and send it back to the states, that's the right direction," Romney said at a debate last year. "And if you can go even further, and send it back to the private sector, that's even better."

I think he was right then and he shouldn't be changing directions now.

Want a good gauge of where Governor Romney stands on an issue other than tax cuts for the wealthy which he is like the rock of gibraltar on, all you need is one of these....

Romney has flipped flop the whole campaign. Anytime a position is not popular he flips. It's been a constant thing with him. I agree with you, Obama does the same thing at times, at times is the key word. Romney goes from week to week, day by day changing his mind. It's almost like he is trying to confuse everyone to win the election.

Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com

Seems typical of Gov. Romney, run and hide, not answer questions, or flip flop when your position may not be popular at the time. That's the type of leadership America needs.

Seems typical of the "gotcha media" asking questions at a food drive to benefit hurricane victims...

You all need to read the transcript and watch the video a little more closely. It is beyond cavil that Romeny was talking about the $1.6 trillion budget deficit at that point, and the moderator only interjected the words "including disaster relief" right in the middle of a statement Romey was making. You all are far too inteliigent to begin parsing video and transcripts like this. If you all want to accuse him of not answering the original question - fine. But Romey did not state that he was opposed to disaster relief. At best, he might be construed as having stated it was a state issue and not a federal one.

At times? Would you like a list? Hell's bells Obama has changed direction on Libya mulitiple times in two months.

I thing Romney has changed his stance on several issues but for Obama to use it as a campaign piece is laughable.

Let's see, didn't Obama say marriage was defined as a man and a woman, before he changed his mind? For votes of course.
