Conner defeated Walton by 2 points in the 1st half and by 7 in the 2nd half (they reset the score at half). Both teams were a little sloppy as you'd expect. Conner missed at least 15 point blank lay ups and a ton of FTs as well. They had some very good success in the 1st half with a zone press and played hard the whole game (several charges and floor burns). Walton doesn't have a lot of size but has some shooters. I'd say they had around 10 made 3 point baskets. Watts and Barker did not attend the scrimmage for Conner.

I'd rate it slightly above average today. Conner did not run a lot of sets as they were really up tempo and beating Walton down the floor and shooting (and missing) a ton of layups. Riddle and Way were on the floor together quite a bit today. Remains to be seen if that changes when Watts returns. Way is still getting his basketball legs under him but was very serviceable. Turnovers were not an issue today at all from the Conner PG spot, which is very encouraging. That said, Walton did not press a whole lot so we shall have to wait and see if they can handle the pressure when the heat is turned up.

Highlands handled Ludlow 58-55. Jumped out 14-5 to start game and 17-10 to start 2nd half. Ludlow stayed close most of the game scoring mostly against the Bird 2nd5. Witte had a double double with 17/14. Birds shot well and hustled for many loose balls and rebounds. Freshman lefty Jared Daugherty looked good with some nice passes and threes. Several sophomores played well also. Lone junior Brenden Buten's quickness caused fits for the Panthers. Witte locked down Panther stud Mitchell Cody. Cody got all of his points against Bird 2nd 5. The tall lengthy kid for Ludlow, name slips my mind, shoots the 3 very well. He and Cody will have very good years. Thornberry is a nice PG also. Highlands is very thin right now with 4 key players still on the gridiron so the win today bodes well considering the amount of youth out there. ark

St.Henry beat Gallatin Co 31-20 in first half. Won the second half 23 - 22. Won 12 minute running clock final "qtr" 11-8.

CovCath won both halves over Scott. I believe the 1st half was by around 10 and the 2nd half by 8 or something close to it.

That had to be in the 2nd half. They ran the back lob for Maniacci twice at the beginning of game. Missed the first one, and connected on the next one. When Cooper goes off high to the left and call "fist", you better be jamming Maniacci cause he's going to the rim for the lob. I only stayed for first qtr of the cooper/oak hills game. Cooper looked tough.
