gold sunrise
How do you see either doing in the playoffs?
Harry Doyle
How do you see either doing in the playoffs? Marshall County has to travel to Louisville Eastern. Ready to take down Eastern @ Eastern, though just yet? Not sure. Graves hosts Logan County. Graves gets that win, and do I sense an upset when they host Warren Central in the 2nd round? WHO'S NEXT?
Rogers comes west again, but no more wing T at Graves. Edited October 26, 2012 by WHO'S NEXT?
MHSCardinal
Graves can beat WCentral.. They'll be the underdog and would likely lose to them 4 out of 5 times, but, stranger things have happened.. There's not that big a difference in the overall talent level.. WC has a little better WRs and are a little quicker on the defensive end, but, Graves has a line that can matchup and if they can avoid turnovers and sustain some drives and keep WCs offense off the field and the Eagle defense fresh, then an upset isn't that far fetched.. DragonFire
That seems like a fancy way of saying that if most things go right for Graves County they'll win, which seems like a no-brainer. Put it to you this way - I'm not worried. I find it a bit staggering that given what Central did to them last year and the difference in their common opponents that they're suddenly a sneaky upset pick here. We're not talking about a 4-7 point difference in common opponents - Central beat Mayfield by 14 and Graves County lost by 28. And Christian County is the only team Graves has played with a pulse since.

It would be an upset, but, lets say in 2 weeks it's wet, cold, windy, muddy, could that change things? It would for lots of teams that have the advantage. Graves has a huge line and two very good backs and if they get in the right circumstances they could pull an upset. But in saying all that I think WC wins by 21 or so. No one said that specifically, it but two posts prior indicated it is more of a possibility than I think it is. I went with sneaky because I think it takes more than two posts to make it a trendy pick.
snakesnot_2000
I dont think anybody is really picking GC to beat WC unless your a parent or close relative. But if happened to get played in slop then it's evened up some for Graves. That's about the only way as I see it that GC would have a chance. Mayfieldsportsfan
I don't think Graves has a chance in hell of beating WC. They have a couple of good players and the rest are soft and slow.

Graves has improved alot since earlier in the year and besides BGreen, WCentrals schedule hasn't exactly been world beaters either.. I'd say Christian Co has more of a pulse than anyone Wcentral has played in the last 6 weeks with exception to BGreen and that one didn't go too well.. I'd also say, Graves is better than anyone other than BGreen that WCentral has played in the latter half of the season.. Also, Mayfield was playing outstanding ball during that Mad'ville, PT, Murray, Graves and Marshall stretch, much better than they played in the 1st game. WC had alot to do with it, but, Mayfield did plenty to shoot themselves in the foot that game and made adjustments thereafter.
