I have a feeling Joker will be back.

Joker didn't throw the damn ball. His quarterback did. My 12 year old knows you dont throw a 14 yard pass when you need 60.

I agree on the time management. Part of that is on Randy Sanders taking too long to get the play in. But the last two plays where Whitlow threw it then went to the sideline to get a play isn't on the coach. It's on the QB. Towles sure wouldn't have done either and they are both coaches by the same person

Again.. UK's #1 receiver ran a 14 yard route in that situation. Who told him to run that route? And I love your certainty of what Towels would have done.

I have nothing to back me up on this but I completely agree with you.

Towles has a REALLY good football IQ. He would have at least tried to get another play off. I'm just going to have to agree with Scribe on this just based off of watching the young man play in high school.

Who is UK's #1 receiver? Is he fast? Did he run the right route? And yes, I'm almost certian Towles would have known to be on the ball when it was spotted and not on the sideline with two seconds left waiting for a play

Really? This is all you've got?

I'm going to go with the guy who has 60% more receptions and 104% more receiving yards than any other receiver on the team. He also has the longest reception of the year, and the longest YPR of anybody with more than 3 receptions.

That was a bad play call no matter what, and it was even worse if the staff thinks Whitlow has such bad football IQ.

Brilliant play call at the end. Down 1 score, 85 yards to go, 9 seconds, 0 timeouts? Lets go with a 14 yard pass dead center of the field. :ohbrother:

And then with 1 second on the clock, let's not snap the ball immediately on the whistle. Let's look to the sideline for a play call and let the clock tick to zero. It was the longest of long shots so I am not going to get on them too hard but still, that was nothing but more proof of incompetence.

Agreed. Nothing wrong with running a short play to get yourself a better shot at the last second heave, but if you're doing that, don't run it over the middle, and don't have the team checking for the next play. The next play is the most obvious one possible. Flat out bad coaching. Just like having to call a TO on the first play of OT against WKU.

The good news is that maybe some of these young guys are talented after all. Hopefully the next coach can do something with them.

Really? It was Whitlow's call to send his #1 receiver on a 14 yard route? Its not like he checked down to a RB as a last resort. The play call had the #1 receiver on a 14 yard route. That's coaching.

And don't forget how the first half against South Carolina ended either. Joker squandered a huge amount of game clock AND a timeout on one play late in the half. Saving either one of those would have given UK a few attempts to get it in the endzone from the 1 yard line.

Mobaar you may want to watch the play again, before you decide to make this big of a deal on this last play, and watch it closely. It was not just a 14 year pass to the middle of the field. Watch the receiver after he catches it, he is trying to then pitch the ball but he gets wrapped up right away to where he can't. You also see the guy who he was going to pitch it to running a crossing route underneath of him. Its honestly pretty obvious that it was suppose to be a hook and latter play.

What about the reverse call after Ky. had run it down their throats late in the game....what kind of a call was that??

Then that was terribly run/called/coached too. Horrible end of game coaching no matter what.

Excuse will be they are young and we are going to let him try to reap the benefits of his recruiting. They will Fire both OC and DC.
