JOHNDUNHOFT
Congrats to Dixie on a big win in District play. Now as far as sad state in Union for Ryle they may have a setback in 2012 however, have you see the kids that are on their way up to play varsity. If not go watch the Beechwood vs Ryle freshmen championship at Beechwood today. JD
StraightShooter
Im pretty sure this group of Ryle seniors was either undefeated or one loss as Frosh. I agree that this year's Frosh team is very good and it will be a battle at Beechwood.
nees1212
Props to the Raider players and Ryan Hill who stepped up in his first varsity start at QB. The kids played hard on both teams. Congrats to Dixie and the Steel Stones award goes to Coach Brossart for a great play call to get the win. Isn't Hill the kid that played QB against Dixie last year and ran wild over them? StraightShooter
Yes. I would guess he had about 160 yards last night and a 40 yarder called back

Talking to a few players last week, this definetly isn't the senior season they anticipated. As for, Dixie, I've said since week 1 that they would be a very good team come week 10/11. They are very young but Coach Brossart has not only the players but community believing in the direction of the program as well.

They had a very good team but lost to CovCath in first round of the then two round NKY freshman playoffs (had East & West divisions that year). They beat eventual frosh champion Highlands at home during regular season.
All Tell
In fairness, even the 5th seed goes to the playoffs so Dixie could be 0 and 10 and still get in. But I agree, big call by Coach Brossart! But the big difference is hosting a playoff game vs. a 3 seed or traveling to a 1 seed (or in this case because of the ludicrous 2 team district a 2 seed). Dixie has to go into the game with whoever is seeded 3rd after the mess that is Lexington 6A is decided as the favorite, had they traveled to Butler I think their season would have ended. All Tell
Do you know who plays who in the playoffs? The Lexington Area 6A district has a 3 way tie for second so next weeks games could figure into breaking that. #4 Ryle will play at #1 Scott County. #5 Boone will play at #2 Butler Because of the ludicrous 2 team district #1 PRP gets a first round bye). Others will be decided. Campbell, Dixie will host SK will travel.

I am with you AT, I was giving Clyde a hard time like he likes to do. So Boone, that finished 5th in the NKY district will play who? Butler if I follow you? A week or two ago I thought it was going to be PRP?

There are only 2 teams in that district so a #1 seed PRP gets a bye, the #3 seeded Boone will play at #2 Butler. #3 Seneca will play at #2 Central Hardin and #4 Southern will play at #1 Meade County. theguru
Thanks AT. One last question that doesn't involve Dixie's huge win, what is Butler's stadium like?
All Tell
Thanks AT. One last question that doesn't involve Dixie's huge win, what is Butler's stadium like? Another typical Jefferson County High School Stadium. Metal framed Bleadcher with plank seating. It is fairly good sized. When Trinity played there in the Semi-State last year it was crowded but not over flowing. Depending on use they have a decent grass field. Press Box is small and as I recall they don't let visiting coaches up there.
