If the defender was Slusher or Bankemper, I can sympathize. Both of them are starting to remind me of their Brothers. They can flat out deliver a blow.

I think Darlington, McGinness & Dressman along with a couple others, are going to see some varsity time next year. By some I mean Special Teams and spot duty on O or D.

Always love to see Freshman playing on Senior Day. Are there no 2nd String Senior RBs to get carries?

Beechwood will have no problem with Ryle. Beechwood has the combination of defensive speed and defensive agression that every other team in NKY lacks. If they shut down #7, and they will, the game is over. I predict Beechwood's starters will be resting comfortably in the fourth quarter.

Unfortunately, I have not seen all the games and I did not get to the game tonight, but I can tell you that there is a lot of Talent. I'm a bit hesitant to say, but I definitely believe these kids are better all around in the skilled positions. Maybe not as much talent on the line.

 

Feiger, Bankemper, Slusher, Combs and Stringer are all very talented but they also have some "Good" talent supporting them.

 

Also, while Stringer is certainly a talent, I believe this team is in the exact same position without him on the field.

 

I may agree that BW is still undefeated without Ethan, but he is the one that takes it to another level. Teams are geared to stop him, but his ability to get the edge is phenomenal, and opens up the passing game for the rest of them. By the same token, Ethan is not as good without the talent of Kyle Fieger, Slusher, Combs, and that offensive line. Just a really good team.

They have dressed 5 or 6 for most of the year but only 3 of those get game action.

I am a little confused about the discussion about how good Beechwood would be without their star running back. This is not the first discussion this season about this issue. Do you expect him to disappear? No one ever mentions how the team would be if Fieger or Bankamper didn't play. He is a great player and the best player in NKY. He makes every aspect of the team better: running, passing, and defense. However, I don't understand the discussions about how the team would fare without him.

I told Guru I wouldn't post another scoring summary at the Frosh level with the other teams names, as I have been the only one to do it week after week and if I don't post the names idiots like you get upset but then I never see guys like you doing anything but complain.

I will tell that for me it comes from what I hear and what I read on here. I get tired of everyone saying that Beechwood Recruits and would be nothing without Transfers. Its simply not true. Perhaps I'm a bit defensive and I certainly don't take anything away from him. I know it sounds like I'm bashing him, but not sure how I can try to make my point without it sounding like that. For that, I apologize to Ethan. I'm just not that articulate.

 

I think ImHisDad did an accurate job of stating how the team is made up and how it works. You can call him the "Star running back" and maybe he is. My point is that if he wasn't there, another "star" or a combination of them would emerge.

 

I don't like all the transfers. I love Beechwood for the tradition of watching a kid go from wearing his Jersey on Football Fridays in the First Grade to being one of those players they used to share halways with and lookup to. It's tradition and it's how Beechwood Football was built. I hate that we have gotten away from that and there is so much focus on the transfers.
