First time seeing either frosh team.

Stringer is obviously at a different level right now.

I really liked BW's QB.

I liked #2 and #24 for the Colonels. Nice sized linemen.

# 2 Ryan McGinness and he had a 14 yard TD run last Saturday vs. Harrison County

#24 Ben Darlington had two carries also last Saturday vs. Harrison County

^ Interesting. How many freshmen did CCH dress for the Harrison County game? Did they let them all dress?

Did they also dress freshmen for the Pendleton County game?

I believe the ability to pass the ball with Fieger at QB and Slusher and Combs at receiver give this team an advantage over the team 4 years ago. Although they passed very little tonight versus CCH, this Beechwood team has a very skilled passing game for a freshman team.

I agree with OSD that the line play of the team 4 years ago was a little stronger than this team.

As a freshman team, I give this year's team the slight nod. As an overall group of freshmen, I give the team 4 years ago the nod because that was a very large group players with a lot of depth. They had very good players at all positions. I don't think you will see all seniors starting when this group reaches their senior year like you did last year.

I hope not. In my opinion, handing the team over to that entire class for two years was a major contributing factor to the lack of State Championship. If you blend the best players from all classes every given year, rather than trying to recreate the success of the Freshman class at the Varsity level, you will win Champhionships.

They haven't had a JV games since Highlands. Couldn't the JV get the reps?

Those games were both such blowouts I am sure the JV played quite a bit.

Always love to see Freshman playing on Senior Day. Are there no 2nd String Senior RBs to get carries?

McGinnis was one of the few that I saw that could potentially be strong enough to get some time at the V level next year. Good-looking athlete.

How about CovCath having 13 different players who carried the ball against Harrison County and other than Bobby Beatrice, no CovCath has no other Senior RB's! :sssh:

Quite true Clyde! His 1st varsity TD was a nice run around the right end for 14 yards and he used his smarts to slow down and let the line do their jobs and then turned on the jets and out ran everyone to the endzone! The kid is going to be a good one and you might even see him on the "D" side of the ball next year as a DB, or on the "O" side as a WR.

I did see a new one tonight.

Saw an offensive player run out of bounds to get out of the way of a runner instead of blocking the guy that tackled the runner.

If you mean in the Harrison County or Pendleton County games, no not all dressed but I think something like maybe 10 dressed and played!

No- not all Freshmen dress. Only @ 4-5 were asked to dress varsity all year. #24 Darlington, #2 McGinnis, #9 Dressman and a couple others.

The last two varsity games against Pendleton & Harrison have been complete blowouts with running clocks in the entire 2nd half.

JV was playing in spots of the 1st halves of those games- then the whole second halves.

The few Freshmen that dressed saw maybe one or two series of action at most.
