I may not know that much. But, I do know that it doesn't matter what match ups there are and it doesn't matter what their records are. When these two teams hook up, it is always a good game. that being said.

I look over KingJames's posts because he has done this since day one on here and everyone knows what his motives are and he has several suspensions to show for it ,but what I can't understand is, if you and your family dislike Johnson Central so much why to you show up in almost every thread about Johnson Central and put your two cents in? Yes I know that you paid your ten dollars to post on here but so did I and you don't see me and other JC fans dogging your former school Lawrence County.

It's no joke. Paintsville came very close to being swallowed by the county system back in the 70's. My recollection is that there were even radio ads touting all of the advantages that a merger would bring to Paintsville students. I don't remember how the financial crisis was resolved, but Paintsville managed to dodge consolidation. Things have gotten very tight on other occasions for Paintsville, but I don't remember the county pushing hard for consolidation like they did in the 70's.

 

I remember those ads. IMO, they're what galvanized the city's residents to keep their own school/identity.

 

The downtown area (more than a bunch of attorney's offices then) and city residents became pro-active in preserving the Paintsville school system.

Do you not think McCarty is their go to player? Do you not think Blanton is a better baseball player? McCarty is one of the better basketball players in the Region and Blanton is one of the better baseball players in the Region. I don't see what's wrong with that! That was all I meant. I'm sorry if you all have taken things the wrong way. I don't know who you, I don't know who firebird is, I don't know who KingJames is or most of the people there are. I made it real clear who I was. Firebird and I have talked in PM's and I don't think we have anything to hide. If you feel like doing the same then feel free to PM. If not then get back on subject as I'm sure people would like to talk about the Paintsville/JC game. As far as stirring trouble, I picked JC too win trying to support them!

I cant say anything about Paintsville because I have not seen them play, but I dont think that Central has struggled here as of late. They just came off 3 straight good wins before being matched up against a Broward team that they or anyone else in this area has a shot of beating on their very best night. The mountains are light years away from being competetive with this type of team. But I do think it will be a close hard fought game for either team. Their games always are.

I heard Dan Marino's sons played on that team. Any truth to that?

I think it will be a good game to see. I have not seen Pville play although I have seen Johnson Central play and if they can hit their shots and play hard nose defense, they will win.

How can you make that staement when you have never seen the Tigers play?

I think this game could become ugly very fast. Nobody can play at Paintsville and win. You have to beat not only the Tigers but the officials also!!Seems like the Tigers have the officials in their hip pockets at that school.I watched the Cardinals play there a while back and the Tigers were allowed to push,shove, and do what ever they wanted to do.I will say that SC played their worst game of the season.They could not get any shots to drop.The fans at Paintsville are rude and very disrespectful.Heck we even had Paintsville fans sitting on the visitors side of the gym making comments.The fans that sit on the stage by the visitors bench are the most unsportsman like fans of all!! They will talk directly to players and coaches during the game.The police will escort fans from the opposing team out of the gym for getting loud and making comments but,will let the Paintsville faithful threaten to beat people without a second thought.I hope JC wins!!!!

So it was the worst game they had played this season and they couldn't get any shots to drop. OH! and the refs cheated and the fans are rude. BLA BLA BLA BLA! It's the same ole thing every time some one get's beat by Paintsville, whether it is at home or on the road. BLA BLA BLA! BMR has the refs in his back pocket! BLA BLA BLA! As for the fans on the stage. I was on the stage that night and only one fan did what you said and it was handled. As for the other fans you are wrong! Now as for players and coaches, unless a fan comes on to the floor, a player and a coach should not become verbally involved with a fan at all, that goes for all teams. Have you ever heard the old saying "sticks and stones"? Apparently not. And Sidelines got suspended for defending a player? :confused: Funny.
