MY ADIDAS Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 What's your predictions? Both teams struggling of late. Paintsville in a close one 72-69.
Play 2 Win Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Where are these two teams ranked in the 15th?
dubbbledribbble Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Where are these two teams ranked in the 15th? Probably #1 and #2 at this point but the 15th is as wide open as ever, so the rankings are worthless at this point. JC over Paintsville by 4.
MY ADIDAS Posted January 15, 2006 Author Posted January 15, 2006 The 15th is as wide open as ever, so the rankings are worthless at this point. JC over Paintsville by 4. I agree dd. This region wide open.
Play 2 Win Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 What's the likelihood of these teams ever merging?

I cant say anything about Paintsville because I have not seen them play, but I dont think that Central has struggled here as of late. They just came off 3 straight good wins before being matched up against a Broward team that they or anyone else in this area has a shot of beating on their very best night. The mountains are light years away from being competetive with this type of team. But I do think it will be a close hard fought game for either team. Their games always are.
stick1 Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 I look for Central to win this one. Pville hasn't seemed to hit their groove yet although this game could give them the momentum they are looking for.
Dino Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 What's the likelihood of these teams ever merging?Almost zero. A merger has been discussed several times over the years during periods of financial crisis at Paintsville, but Paintsville has always scraped up the money to pay the light bill.
Nothingbutnet Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Paintsville by 6. But the way the Tigers and Eagles are playing right now, either could blow the other out on a given night!

Dino, you need to take this stand-up comedy routine on the road.
Dino Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Dino, you need to take this stand-up comedy routine on the road. It's no joke. Paintsville came very close to being swallowed by the county system back in the 70's. My recollection is that there were even radio ads touting all of the advantages that a merger would bring to Paintsville students. I don't remember how the financial crisis was resolved, but Paintsville managed to dodge consolidation. Things have gotten very tight on other occasions for Paintsville, but I don't remember the county pushing hard for consolidation like they did in the 70's.
Dino Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 I have to pick Paintsville to win at home and JC to bounce back to split the regular season series on its home court.
RoundLeather Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Paintsville 83 Johnson Cent 80 in overtime
firebird Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Dino, you need to take this stand-up comedy routine on the road. I remember what Dino is saying very well A2000.You may find it funny right now, but it was certainly not a joke at the time.
