He gets to the pension exchange. His analysis.....

"Just what we want from the debate...two rich guys arguing over the size of their pension. Meanwhile most of America is saying...'what's a pen-shon'...."

I've mentioned that a few times. This is a non-issue other than it being unusual. Poor Jim Lehrer would still have been trying to gain control. She nipped it.

How DARE her - fact-checking in real time while people were still watching.

The only thing that can save Obama from the Libya nightmare is if they can cover for 3 more weeks.

Why has everyone focused so much on Crowley telling Romney that Obama did say "act of terror" and no one is saying a word about her going on to say that Romney is right that it took Obama two weeks to declare it a terrorist attack?

She carried the water well.

Some are speculating that we could have an election where the winner does not win the popular vote.

Very possible, be fun to listen to the debate again after 12 years.

That is what I was saying earlier in this thread when I commented this could another Bush Gore.

Fivethirtyeight???? What does using them as a gauge tell you? How did they come up with that calculation?

If you're talking about 2008 as last time just about everybody hit it.

Fivethirtyeight does it differently than others.

Rasmussen has the following states as toss ups:

Florida

Ohio

Virginia

Iowa

Wisconsin

Colorado

Nevada

New Hampshire

Missouri

I think Romney wins Florida, Virginia, and Missouri. If he does that puts him at 258 according to Rasmussen's numbers. In all of the other 6 state all of the leads are 2 points or less except for Nevada where the President leads by 3. To me it's starting to look like a difficult mountain to climb for Obama, especially when you consider the momentum that Romney has built since the first debate.

I've heard several people over the last 3 days, including some on the left, who are starting to believe this could be a big margin for Romney.

Florida - Gov. Romney

Ohio - President Obama

Virginia - Gov. Romney

Iowa - President Obama

Wisconsin - Presdient Obama

Colorado - Gov. Romney

Nevada - President Obama

New Hampshire - Gov. Romney

Missouri - Gov. Romney

As of right now this is how I see it shaking out. That would put it at 270-268 President Obama if my math is correct.

Apparently, Romney's up in one of Maine's districts. Giving him one electoral point.

How awesome/hilarious would that be?

One other point to make regarding Corleone's list. I think you can start to see a clear path to the Presidency for Gov. Romney that does NOT involve him winning Ohio. If he was able to swing Wisconsin (which I think is very much in play this election season) or Iowa, it very well could happen.

Exactly my point. To me it is starting to look like Obama has to have everything work out just right for him to win. Being as objective as possible I think Romney has to screw up to loose.

The biggest thing in Romney's favor is momentum. At this point Penn. is just as close as Florida.

Less than 3 weeks to go, better go ahead and ask off for November 7th.

Heard a discussion about this topic this morning. Some polls show it being maybe a 3-pt margin. Discussion centered around the campaigns having a better gauge on the situation than pundits and pollsters. They used PA as the example. The Romney campaign is running ZERO TV spots in the state of PA. You think if they truly thought it was up for grabs they wouldn't be advertising there?
