IMO Biden came off as very rude. Time after time he kept interrupting Ryan and laughing. Came across very very rude to me. Just like the nut who climb up in the tree right before the debate started and yelled through out the entire debate.

IMO you have already lost credibility b/c you also posted that Obama defeated Romney in their debate & even big Obama supporters reported that Romney won easily as Obama appeared distracted, arrogant, & couldn't make consistent eye contact... Vice President Joe Biden laughed at Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan Thursday for his attacks on the stimulus, reminding him that he requested stimulus funding for his Wisconsin district.

 

"I love my friend here," Biden said during the debate in Danville, Ky. "I'm not allowed to show letters here, but go on our website. He sent me two letters saying, by the way, can you send me some stimulus money for companies here in the state of Wisconsin?"

 

Ryan is a frequent critic of the stimulus, using it as an example of out-of-control spending by the Obama administration. But as noted by Biden, Ryan requested stimulus money for his district.

 

Ryan acknowledged at the debate that he asked for funding. "On two occasions we advocated for constituents who were applying for grants," Ryan said, adding it's something members of congress do for the people in their district.

 

Biden seemed to find that statement funny. :lol:

Joe Biden was laughing was because he was losing his cool. That helped him keep it in check. Biden is an excellent debater but the pressure was on him to perform. He did a good job but I thought Ryan held his own. I would call it a draw and commend Ryan for being the calmer of the two.

This is where Obama is totally blowing this election - change and running on his record. Romney is doing a great job keeping Obama on the defensive and painting a picture of gloom and doom. Obama should be talking about the change that he did accomplish and the campaign promises he kept. Here are things Obama promised and accomplished:

 

Health care reform - It was one of the biggest items that people wanted and got him elected and he got it done.

Troops out Iraq - Another item that was at the top of the list last election and accomplished.

Reform of Wall Street - Promise made and promise kept.

Repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell - Accomplished.

Increasing Energy Independence/Green Energy - The increased production of oil and other advances and focus on this area should be touted as a promise kept by Obama

 

Are we hearing anything about these? No. Not to mention the significant accomplishments versus Al Quaida and taking out Bin Laden. Romney is doing a great job shaping the debate. He needs to keep the pressure on. Keep talking about the off the beaten path issues where he can attack Obama, like Ryan did on the Libya attack. Romney needs to keep talking about the economy's slow growth and hang that on Obama as much as he can. It is obvious the economy weighs on Obama and he has not found a way to defend that. If Romney can keep the debate and campaign discussions going in the same direction and Obama continues to play defense, Romney can win this.

Obamacare was not wanted by the majority of Americans and it is still not wanted by most Americans. Poll after poll support this. He had to basically bribe members of his own party to get it passed.

 

His green energy initiative if failing at record speed. There have been many failed companies that have been given tax payer dollars. Solyndra is just one. While losing tax payer money in these ventures, the restrictions his policies on putting on coal and coal fired power plants are causing increases in our energy bills. This is having a direct affect on the middle class and the poor.

I believe the anti Obamacare view is because Republicans have done a good job rallying against it and Obama did a poor job by not getting more Republican buy in when he pushed it through Congress. On energy independence, again, I think the knocks on the green energy front are overblown by Republicans and the failures are similar to what is seen in any start up business sector. Obama should focus on increased oil production and the in roads made on becoming more energy independent. I guarantee you the vast majority of people in this country don't know we just hit a 14 year high in oil production and we are fast closing on surpassing our 40 year high. People go to the gas pump and think it is Obama's fault because he has restricted the oil industry and that is not true. They think Obama blocking the pipeline in the midwest is hurting oil and driving up prices - not true. Obama should be bragging about this country's oil production.

 

As I said, Obama is blowing this election by not touting his record and kept promises.

I think polls also say people would prefer to make changes to Obamacare versus repealing it. I am not painting anything rosy. I am stating the facts and saying what I think Obama should be doing. People still want health care reform and they want many parts of Obamacare.

 

I have not made up my mind on who I am voting for. I see good and bad in both candidates.
