hrcarrier
I didn't agree at all with going for the field goal late in the 4th quarter; I know that Dalton had a rough game, but I still believe he's much better than he played yesterday. As far as running backs are concerned, Green-Ellis has not done a thing to impress me whatsoever and seeing Scott go out injured doesn't make things from that perspective look any better. SSC
I really wish Nugent would have made that FG and they would have lost by 1 point if they were going to lose anyway.

Then we'd really be going nuts on the decision not to go for two.

mexitucky
The QBs that the Bengals have faced this year are rookies and or terrible. The only good one they faced was Flacco, and they made him look better than he truly is. The Bengals are a 7-9 team. Injuries in the secondary and getting nothing from the linebacking corp in pass coverage has made them bad. They are only as good as their front 4. sports fan
Bottom line is that you cannot lose to mediocre teams at home. At the end of the day, this is simply a game that Cincinnati has got to win.

When they do play these better teams and better QB's they will be in a lot of trouble of that front 4 is not getting a pass rush.

I didn't mind the decision at first, however since he did do that. Then you HAVE to go for it on the 4th down they had, yet he played it safe there too. Absolutely stupid, and now that I seen him do that. It must made the not going for two even more stupid. I have not said much about Marvin the last two yaers, because he had become more aggressive. Yesterday he went back to his oldself, and it may have cost them the game. Can't have that from your coach!!

Can't have that from your coach!! At that point in the game, I can not come up with one reason not to go for two. You either cut the lead to three, or it is 5, which at that point is the same as 4. The only real argument that makes any sense is if you score a TD or the other team kicks a FG it would be better at that point and that point only. What's lost in that argument is you still can score two FG's to win and you would have to go 0-2 on two point conversions for that to matter. I will take my chances on converting 1 out of 2 two point conversions.
UKMustangFan
Dalton was pathetic. And it wasn't the Dolphins defense that caused it either. He missed almost every single throw he tried to make. Embarrassing effort.
Eagle2013
If you have a hint of football knowledge you would know you absolutely had to go for 2. Lewis put his team in a position to lose the game with that decision.
futurecoach
At that point in the game, I can not come up with one reason not to go for two. You either cut the lead to three, or it is 5, which at that point is the same as 4. They had just started the 4th quarter. So yes if they miss they would have been down 5. So now if Miami gets a field goal they would be down 8 and have to get the two point conversation. Not to mention say if the Bengals miss then if the Bengals later scored a touchdown to go up they would have to go for two to just get up 3. So I would have been fine with it if they went for the 2, however at that moment I was not to upset that they didn't. There was plenty of time left still, and the 2 point conversation rate is not that great. However since he didn't go for 2 there, he should have known he needed to go for it on that 4th. You can go conservative twice like he did by not going for 2 and then settling for a field goal too.

However I just was not to mad about the decision at the time, I was more mad about the decision to kick the field goal with 3 minutes to go in the game. Either way both those decisions were bad decisions by him.
