Call it cheap if you want but it is football. They won by 18 not really running up the score. I guess the people at Boone forget how Boone always ran the score up on other teams. If I was the Marksberry I would have went for the end zone again after being stared down by the Boone coaches and especially after the Boone coach threw his arms up at the SK sideline.

It was really a 24 point game, Simon played some extra extra soft D at the end and Boone scored one right at the end that didn't matter at all.

 

And yes I think Simon piled on at the end and it was cheap.

I am not bitter uk. If Marksberry wants to pass at the end of a game like that and add a cheap TD or two I can live with that. What I can't live with is canceling the JV game. As a matter of fact, I am livid.

Again, it was 38 to 14 and Boone scored a meaningless TD because Simon got real soft on D at the end.

 

And I don't think running it up is the right term, I think passing at the end of the game to score when the game is clearly in hand and you should be running the ball to run the clock out is unsportsmanlike. But again, I can live with it.

Also, before anyone suggests the cancellation was to preserve the football field at Boone County, Boone has a bye this coming week, then they play Campbell on the road, then John Hardin at home. So the only remaining varsity football game at home is John Hardin which is a meaningless football game. And the chances of Boone having a home playoff game are slim and none and Slim is out of town.
