Let's ignore the fact that there is no doubt this guy was out walking with the hope of getting into this exact situation.

 

If we are going to allow this to occur then the police simply cannot violate the rights of the person legally carrying a gun just because people are wondering what's going on.

The guy that's doing this is looking for attention, he's obnoxious and trying to be a punk. It's a gray area that IMO is only brought in to question when someone wants attention and wants to cause a scene. I highly doubt he's doing this to bring attention to his right to openly carry in public.

You know I would enjoy the debate. I just wouldn't be a blank and be out looking for it.

I didn't watch the video but one of my favorites is when stupid guy legally walks back and forth in front a school in session with gun.

Guy walks around with a gun on his hip. People see him, get worried and call the police. Police do nothing. They don't talk to the man. They don't stop him. Nothing.

 

Man then shoots several people. Who are people going to blame?

Depends on who the people are but at some point we know the blame will sadly land at the feet of the gun manufactures.:ohbrother:

Everyone here pretty much knows my stance on guns and conceal carry. This guy gives gun owners and conceal carry a bad name, IMO. Just comply and you're on your way. Stupid, just plain stupid to think that the police or anyone else should automatically know you're not a menace. The police were right to check.

Perhaps what Clyde is getting at and I don't have a problem with that is that either they need to get rid of open carry altogether or require that you have a license. Seems silly to have a law requiring you to have a license to conceal carry but nothing for open, when open carry is what will cause the most calls/concern to the general public. Seems like an easy fix.

I am all for gun rights, but I would hope the police would be concerned.

Agreed. It's always good to stop and talk to a person you're concerned with. As long as the police follow the laws then everything is cool. If their hands are tied legally that's on us as citizens.
