October 3, 201214 yr I have another prediction, this should be a FUN NBA season. Really looking forward to it.
October 3, 201214 yr So last year I bought a Nate Thurmond throwback jersey t-shirt and I don't have much occasion to wear it. I'm hoping to have more this year. The Warriors are going to be awesome... right?
October 3, 201214 yr I am still worried about Howard being physically able to perform this season to his abilities. This is back surgery we are talking about here. He's already practicing and is thinking about playing in their first game Sunday. He appears to be fine. The thought of him and Nash running the pick and roll for 82 games and the playoffs makes me giddy like a little school girl at a Twilight premier.
October 3, 201214 yr Off the top-of-my-head all of these teams should be intriguing and worth a watch night in and night out: Heat, Thunder, Lakers, Nets, Bulls, Hornets, Celtics, Kings (Boogie is my boy), Knicks, TWolves, Nuggets, Clippers, and Bobcats (love MKG). The league is in a really good place right now as far as entertainment and talent are concerned. All of those people who won't watch the NBA because they "don't play defense", "are thugs", "are spoiled", "it isn't as fun as college", etc. are missing out...BIG TIME.

I'm getting more excited as each day passes. Just looking at that roster gets me hyped!!!! A bench. A real live actual bench. This is stupid. Dusty birth certificates my behind. Howard on Joel Anthony? Lakers all day baby!!!!!!!
October 3, 201214 yr ^ Perfect' date=' about that time the Spurs will be irrelevant.[/quote'] Eh people say that every year and then the old men put together a run and lead the league in wins. And while I like the Spurs, I don't see them winning a championship anytime soon.
October 3, 201214 yr Eh people say that every year and then the old men put together a run and lead the league in wins. How big is the trophy for regular season champs? How many years in a row now have they done this? I'm not saying they need to blow it up or anything but they will continue to be like this. A very good regular season team who gets beat in the playoffs every year.
October 3, 201214 yr Any chance the Kings do better? They have a lot of talent but seem to have no chemistry as a team itself..
October 4, 201214 yr How big is the trophy for regular season champs? How many years in a row now have they done this? I'm not saying they need to blow it up or anything but they will continue to be like this. A very good regular season team who gets beat in the playoffs every year. Except for those years they won the championship? The big three for the spurs have what...3 championships together? They weren't that far away from making the finals last year either.

The "they don't play defense" is one of the great myths of all time.

October 4, 201214 yr The "they don't play defense" is one of the great myths of all time. Agreed, I hate when people say that.
October 4, 201214 yr The "they don't play defense" is one of the great myths of all time.Yep, but you'd have a hard time convincing many people in the Commonwealth of that...
October 5, 201214 yr Neither were the Lakers. That's fine. But the poster I was responding to said the spurs will never be anything more than a good regular season team who does nothing in the playoffs. Or something like that... To me that isn't true.
