After watching my daughter play grade school ,high school and college volleyball and after watching her coach countless JO and High school games , I must say that I for one don't look at or obsess on what the girls are wearing as History and CWB are seeming to do,I watch the plays and how they develop .

 

Come on now..."obsessing on what the girls are wearing"? Really?

I don't care if the girls are wearing bikinis. What their attire consists of is irrelevant. This line of thinking is, in my opinion, similar to those who say rape victims in tight, revealing clothes are just asking for it.

The reality of the volleyball uniforms are they are nothing more or less then you see at a beech, neighborhood pool, swim meet, cheerleaders etc. Creeps are everywhere and so are recording devices, cell phones. Had I seen him doing this so blatently that there was no misstaking his actions I would have confronted him. Call these creeps out and expose them. Today's bleecher peeper is tomorrows bigger problem. The kids cheering in the arena are not the problem regardless of what they are wearing. Been to a prom lately and seen those outfits? Kids wear whatever society dictates and those boundries are pushed constantly.

 

Stand up and yell at the creep, call the police and make sure he doesn't leave the gym until fully investigated. That is how you protect our children. How the heck did this guy get away?

If you were as you say , Uncomfortable then yes Id say that you were obsessing about their uniforms

Should have called the cops and let them take care of him , Hindsight is 20/20 .

That's not what I'm trying to say. Facts are facts - there are perverts out there that DO look at girls in that kind of way when they wear clothes like that...as evidenced by the fact that there's a creep out there videotaping this stuff. It's not a matter of them "asking for it" so much as it's the fact that, regardless of intent, wearing those shorts does make them subject to falling victim of a perverted videotaper. It's not right, but it's the truth. If someone leaves their house unlocked and they get burglarized, I'm not gonna say "well they were asking for it" - but it certainly would have been safer if they'd to lock the door.

 

I realize you can see girls in FAR less clothes in a LOT of places. I'm just saying...where's the need? Why don't girls soccer players wear shorts like these? They're moving around and running just as much as volleyball players...if not more.

No kidding! What did he look like? I might accidentally bump into him at the next swim meet. I'll make sure his camera goes for a swim, too. I hope paNDA will get that on film.

I think it would be illegal to film underage kids wouldn't it? I bet if the police got their hands on that camera and there were a bunch of upskirt (cheerleaders) or backsides (volleyball), etc. that it would have to be illegal. Or am I wrong?

Thats what you do if you like volleyball .

I think anyone other than the teams shoud throw up a red flag and maybe no other cameras should be allowed. it is very easy to get a copy of the game tape from the coach nowadays.

I would bet 80% of the people in attendance at a game have a phone that can video the goings on.
