for those who like ratings. Litkinhouse has Somerset 25 pts. above Breathitt Co. and Dave Cantrell has Somerset 14 pts. above Breathitt Co. This is why I pay no attention to ratings, especially this early in the season. This will be a close game, unless one teams just quits and I don,t see that happening. Too Much pride in both programs. Good Luck Jumpers!!!

Trent is just a very average passer.....he looks to run before passing the football.....if Trent throws the football 20 times, Breathitt will get beat....less than 20 throws, Breathitt wins by a couple of td's...

Jumpers win 28-14. Too tough at home to beat.

I look forward to this one. I will be traveling to the Briar Patch to watch.

I will be keeping up with this one...should be a good one but I say S-Set 35-28.

It's game day! Big one tonight at Clark Field in Somerset. Briar Jumpers take this one 21-14.

I think these teams are very even. The game will be decided on either a big play on special teams or a big turnover by one of them. I don't see either offense doing a whole lot with the other defense. Somerset is at home and Breathitt has yet to really be tested. I think that works in favor of the Jumpers and I'll take them 14-13 at home.

Really a game I wish I could see. Somerset in a close one.

The X-Factor for tonight, IMO is:

How is Somerset's tackling in the open field? Trent is a big kid and can break tackles certainly, but the scariest Bobcat in the open field is going to be someone the Jumpers never saw last year in Shouse. Shouse will probably be bigger and stronger then anyone not on the line and he is an absolute load to bring down. If a Jumper DB is one on one and tries to tackle him high it is nearly certain to turn into a big game. Anything less than form tackling, or gang tackling, and Shouse has the potential to turn a 6 yard pass into a 60 yard TD.

Somerset has done a Great job tackling in open field so far this season. They will always have 2-3 and sometimes 5 or 6 around the ball. Both pictures on front of sports page in Somerset Paper have several people tackling the Ball Carrier. Don't think Shouse or Trent will be one on one a lot in this game. If so it will be a long night, but don't think it will happen on this Def. Aganist Hazard last week everytime Olinger caught ball he was gang tackled.
