Who thinks Cooper beats CCH ?

 

Although we all know what to take out of and what not to take out of scrimmages, Cov Cath and Ryle's scrimmage was very telling. Cov Cath won, but didn't score until the jv's were in and seeing how Cooper handled Ryle week 1 I wouldn't put a lot of money on Cov Cath coming out ahead in that game if they did play eachother. Cov Cath could very well win, but they also could very well lose that game. Looking at the votes they both have 116 so it's about right this far into the season.

Maybe, we probably will never know as Boone County and Ryle generally do not play 1A and 2A schools.

Boone will still be a better team than most after they lose to CCH and Male in the next two weeks, and Ryle is a better program for playing and losing to DeSales and Colrain.

How exactly is Ryle a better program for playing teams like Colerain and deSales? It's one thing if they had a team on the field that could compete with teams like Colerain, but simply by playing them and getting demolished isn't making the team better. They look like the opposing teams punching bags out there. Bryson should be held to task for making such an insane schedule.

 

I have no problem scheduling tough teams, but you have to have the team that can actually compete with those schools before scheduling them and the coach should know what he has coming back the next year. Too many people knew Ryle would be down this year without Elliot, but apparently the coach thought he knew better and now he is paying the price.

That is true, but I wonder if Bryson will continue to schedule teams like that next year. IF he does, what will your reason be? Does it really make the team better? no, not unless they were competitive in the first place.

HC isn't near the level they were last year. My guess is it will still be enough to finish second in their district.

I would say HC is as close to the same level right now as they were last year. It is almost a reflection. The line backers are the only place I would put them behind.

The major difference is that the teams we have played are way better this year than last year.

Call me out on Fuller but he was still finding his game at this point last year as well.

Schools that wouldn't schedule that year include NCC, Cov, Male, Scott County, and Boyle County just to name a few. Hopefully that will change in the future to allow a mostly Kentucky schedule. However, there were many teams that weren't interested in playing against a certain returning running back. Of course, he sustained an injury. BTW, what do you call it when a team has an open week and refuses to schedule? You are making comments about things you know nothing about. You are criticizing coach Warner for scheduling Ohio teams when he was turned down by EVERY program he contacted in Kentucky. Highlands will of course play anyone from this area every season. Many teams won't.
