Schools that wouldn't schedule that year include NCC, Cov, Male, Scott County, and Boyle County just to name a few. Hopefully that will change in the future to allow a mostly Kentucky schedule. However, there were many teams that weren't interested in playing against a certain returning running back. Of course, he sustained an injury. BTW, what do you call it when a team has an open week and refuses to schedule? You are making comments about things you know nothing about. You are criticizing coach Warner for scheduling Ohio teams when he was turned down by EVERY program he contacted in Kentucky. Highlands will of course play anyone from this area every season. Many teams won't.

 

You make it sound as if the schools you mentioned were afraid to play Ryle, did you ever think that they may of already had their schedule about finished? also you keep claiming they have been turned down by EVERY program he contacted in kentucky, that is also a lie, Cooper doesn't have to play them, they aren't even in their same class/district yet they still play them.

Actually I am a supporter of all the Boone county schools, I have too many friends at all of the schools. I'm just saying that Ryle, Boone, cooper or Conner are not schools that scare a lot of other schools period and to come off like you have been saying that everyone is "Afraid" to play Ryle is quite entertaining.

Keep dreaming. Cooper has one varsity win against the raiders and have gotten their brains beaten out in every other level. We will see about Conner soon enough. Ryle is 10-4 against Conner and Cooper for the last nine years, and I am sure Boone is similar, if not better. The lower level matchups were a total of 104-12 in favor of Ryle. Savor the flavor for now fellas.

I don't think it will ever be one school dominating for a long period of time over the others anymore simply because the feeder system (pee wee league) is pretty even with the kids going to the 4 schools since they are located so close together and no private school among them so no recruiting etc.

 

So I think you will see 2-3 year swings to who the power houses will be.

 

The reason it took Cooper 5 years till people started noticing is because the first 2 years the school was open the Jr's and Sr's in their school district could opt out of going to Cooper and stay at their current school. So last year is the first time they actually have kids who have been in the program all 4 years.

Cooper JV beat Ryle JV last year, I know this because my son was the qb in that game and set a school record which can't ever be broken, he threw a 99 yard TD pass that was the game winner. He plays wr for varsity this and last year, although played QB most his life, he only played qb in 2 jv games last year (only jv games he played in ) and had a qb record of 5 td passes to 0 int's. Not too shabby, so like I said earlier, the dominance here on out will depend on what schools get the top players from the pee wee league now on and that will only be a 2-3 year cycle

you could be right, but you could be wrong also. Who knows, all I know is I hope all the schools in Boone county do good and I will or at least hope I never come across as arrogant as some who are apparently sore losers.

I don't see Boone or Ryle ever committing to a down field passing game. You simply cannot be an elite program without balanced offense. Cooper has Morris this year , and Ludwig next year. I don't see this as a one year phenomena. As long as the focus in Freshman and jv ball is on player development, and not results, I believe the success can continue.

 

Ryle has a lot of talent in their youth program, but even if they had a capable QB, I just don't think it is in their dna to throw , other than when they have to.
