According to the CJ, St. X has annouced a press conference at which former NFLer and X Alumnus, Will Wolford, will be announced as the new St. X coach, replacing the retiring Mike Glaser at the end of this season.

Well everyone knew he was retiring already. Maybe naming Wolford as the new HC will be a good thing, especially if the players/community like him.

i think there are alot more questions now than if anyone else would have gotten the nod.

This announcement has been set for a couple of weeks and has nothing to do with the timing of the loss.

I assume this means Wolfard will no longer do Colts games? Any chance he can hire Bob Lamey as an assistant?

I am very interested to see who he retains and what if any role he will take as D or O coordinator.

As someone else pointed out, I think the timing has a lot more to do with the fall open houses and placement test than anything else. I think the timing is bad for Coach Glaser, but good for St X. Given that choice, my guess would be that Coach Glaser would want to do what is best for St X.

It is now official. I really thought that the announcement would come after the season, and allowing Mike to be the center of attention, with no distractions. The open house and placement test were probably the reasons.

I would love to sit down with Will Wolford and hear what his plans are for the program.

 

As a previous poster mentioned, I wonder what changes, if any, will be made within the coaching staff?

Something tells me the spread is on it's way....Well, at least the pro set.
