At this point, being a freshman, I don't think he is better than what is left. A couple more injuries may change that. Beechwood doesn't play very many sophomores, let alone freshmen. However, with the current situation on the injury front the Tigers are already using more sophomores than I can ever recall. Hopefully it doesn't get to Stringer. If he is playing varsity, then you know it is really bad on the injury front and that is no knock on Stringer - that is just the way the program works at Beechwood.

I hope the HC community appreciates all of the work that you guys are doing for the team.

Well today is the day Beechwood will pass the torch to HC!! We will take the winning tradition this year for you and be proud doing it!!

VOR I can tell you it is better to have these type of injuries early so that young guys can mature and improve. You have to have the mentality that you have 6 scrimmage games then you have your regular season. (district) Once you win your district then by then your young guys have had a full year of experience and should be ready for the playoffs.

 

It should feel good to be the hunted! That means your Tigers have been handing out spankings for a long time in NKY.

 

Now as for HC game the Tigers may be injured and banged up. What I was always taught is don't ever corner an injured anmial, because it will bite you.

This week the injured Tigers bite HC and leave their teeth marks.

Sorry to hear that voice, what awfull luck, hope he makes a full recovery.

This team is a little down right now IMO. They've been without Max for the first rew weeks and now lose Erdman for the year. I know all teams have injuries, but these two hurt. They were the only two with varsity (4 yrs) time, they were the leaders of this team in many ways. When things were not going right, the younger players had someone to follow. Somebody needs to step up and fill that roll. If Nussbaum returns tonite I think Bw wins easily, no disrespect to HC.......BW 22 HC 6

Just like last years seniors, I have been watching this years group play football since they have been 6 yrs old and I hate to see this happen to them in their senior year. I hate to see any kid get injured to this extent. I wish them all well and to get better. For tonites game I will go with the Tigers in a close one. Good Luck Tigers. JD

I read it this morning and that is horrible news for Beechwood and for this young man. I too wish him the best and hope he has a full recovery. It is awful that something like this happens and especially to a senior. Good luck to Gage and I wish him nothing but success at the next level if he so chooses to play.

I see the Tigers winning by 2 TD's, perhaps more if everything falls right. Playing that dangerous compare the scores game, Beechwood was in the game versus two undefeated big schools and was 25 yards away from a game winning TD against one of them. Beechwood also was competitive with Conner in a scrimmage. Holy Cross was really never in the game versus either of the big schools they played, one of those being versus Conner. Beechwood should have enough healthy bodies back tonight to get a solid win. This game will be won in the trenches. Beechwood will control the line of scrimmage. Holy Cross will need big plays from their speed guys to have a chance. If Beechwood contains them, especially in the return game, Beechwood gets a needed win.

Not that I know of. Holy Cross does some things online but I believe there was an earlier post in the thread that they were short on manpower tonight.
