The Frankfort Panthers (2-0) travels to 2A Green County (1-1).

 

This is the first meeting between these two teams. Frankfort is coming off back to back victories to start the season. They are lead by a pair of receivers Jalen Washington and Aaron Jackson. Last week the Panthers had an upset win over Rockcastle. When asked about Green County Coach Foley says they are big upfront Like Rockcastle, but they play a lot faster.

 

As for Green County they enter the game at 1-1 coming off a victory over 4A Marion County. Green County will be lead by Quarterback Weston Mc Dermott. Green County has a talented backfield led Jr. Evan Jaggers. Green County will use multiple looks offensively to attack the undersized Frankfort defense.

Green defeated Marion County 43-28

Frankfort Defeated Rockcastle 42-27

Frankfort 49-21.

Frankfort may be undersized a lot this season, But I'm excited to see what the Frankfort staff has in store for this week's match-up. It has been awhile since Frankfort put up 28 points in the first quarter.

Who you taking and why?

Green Co may be a little too deep and talented for the Panthers, but, should be a good game...I say GC 35 FF 28

Green County is very talented. Overall may be more athletic than Newport. (who had a ton of skill kids)

I will say this about Green, they will leave a mark on Frankfort. Green plays smashmouth ball...you WILL know you played a hungry small school when the game is over. I miss the competition level against them.

I have not had a chance to see Frankfort play yet this year, traveling for The Panther's always seem like a problem, but this year against Rockcastle they surprised me. I am going to say Green County 39 Panthers 27

Winning at GC is no easy task. Frankfort may be a better team but Green Co wins this one 26-20.

Frankfort may prove to be more than Green Co. expects. Green seems to be talented at spots but ultimately, the skill kids for Frankfort will have their way. Frankfort's team defensive speed will create problems with the option.

Green by a small margin.

my guess from what I hear is that if it comes down to special teams it could be close. Both return teams look pretty solid, Green seems to have the upper hand in the PAT/FG team. Regardless should be a good one.
