August 28, 201214 yr It was the Padres game I was thinking of. The rookie catcher from A ball took him deep. He only gave up 2 runs though. I was thinking it was more than that. I told you, I'm losing my mind. Yup, you were definitely thinking of the wrong game. Cueto's last start vs. D'Backs: 6 innings, 4 hits, 0 runs, 4 BB, 3 K

August 28, 201214 yr I'll take his opinion over yours any day... That's your perogative. How do you feel about some of the things that Pete Rose says about baseball? Here's one for you, "Baseball is 10% physical and 90% mental". "I'll take the guy with the better mental makeup anyday over just a physically talented one."
August 28, 201214 yr A lot of people were bashing Dusty about how he used Marshall versus the Cardinals yesterday. That move helped win this game tonight. Instead of using Broxton in that game, he saved him for tonight and it paid off with a fresh Broxton looking near his best in a Reds uniform. Sometimes you manage games to win the next two or three instead of wearing down your team to win every one of them. I heard the same things that "Crusty" had to say after the game last night. Why didn't he go with Arredondo like he normally does with a lefty followed by righties. He has pitched well in the past when used in that situation? He didn't have to go to Broxton. For some odd reason "Crusty" has it set in his mind that if it's the 7th innining it should be Marshall, 8th it should be Broxton and 9th Chapman if these guys are rested. He just can't seem to be able to match the situation when it's tight and he needs to be decisive with a change.
August 28, 201214 yr Yogi is extremely intelligent. He is a quote machine, everyone he says has a purpose. EZ's pretty gullible if he really thinks that Yogi can't do that math. No surprise. Do you think I've not heard all the Yogi-isms? Please! No surprise there either.
August 28, 201214 yr Do you think I've not heard all the Yogi-isms? Please! No surprise there either. The fact that you think he isn't intelligent, based on his quotes, tells me all I need to know.
