September 2, 201214 yr Yes, Bobcat 22 years bowhunting, never used trail cam.... Gonna watch the Cats a little this eve, then go to the stand for a few hours till dark. Came upon a trail cam last year for a good price. Planning to take it with me and hang it.
September 2, 201214 yr How can you tell? Sometimes the head, but mostly her paunch. Females are considerably bigger. I hunted them several years. I was once told that if you want to keep the cats in your area, don't shoot the female. However, what a great mount that would be.

I've never seen one in person so I wouldn't have a clue. We got pics of some last year in this same field (other end) but none were this big and never saw one while hunting. My friend who owns this property shot a small one across the road on a different farm we lease. Never found it. Question, how many would have seen this one and spread the "mountain lion" myth? This pic was posted on my friends facebook page and he got several comments asking if it was a cougar. I could only :lol:
