Probably so. This is much more than about finances. Another school in the district has tried to strong arm the tournament away from Rose Hill and Fairview. Rose Hill will not be bullied into moving the tournament and neither will Fairview when it comes their turn to host.

 

Rose Hill will look out for itself and have a home game in the district. Given the districts balance that could be the difference in winning and losing.

As long as Fairview and Rose Hill stick together on district issues, both will benefit. If one defects, it will be detrimental to both and the bigger schools will run the show for their own best interests. Money should not be the main concern. It certainly isn't to Ashland and Boyd County and it shouldn't be, and can't be, to Fairview and Rose Hill. If more money is needed, raise the price of the tickets but don't sell your souls for thirty extra pieces of silver.

Why doesn't anyone ever request that Ashland move the tournament when it is their turn to host. James A. Anderson Gymnasium hold around 1500, Summit Junior High holds around 4500. I seems to me that every school in the district would benefit if Ashland moved it also. Just a thought.

How's this, when Ashland moves the tournament to Summit, Rose Hill will consider doing the same. That seems fair to me.
