That's true. Unless he sits Strausburg in the playoffs. I'd choke my GM if he pulled that crap.

I understand what you're saying, but you would rather risk your star pitcher's career over one year?

If he feels fine, his mechanics aren't changing to compensate, he isn't losing velocity...etc., I do with him what I would do with any pitcher. Throw them until the season is over. Let's face it, he's not resigning there and opportunities to win it all don't happen very often. Look at all the guys that went to the WS once and never got back.

If anything, I'm losing a start with him now before I am in the playoffs. Good luck winning your clubhouse over by sitting your number 1 starter in the playoffs, when he is completely healthy.

What makes you think he's not going to resign with the Nationals? It sure seems like they have that organization going in the right direction, and are willing to spend money.

It's all in good fun, I think? I mean how many debates can you have over saying the Reds are great, the Reds are great, the Reds are great:lol:

Exactly, this would be a pretty boring place if we didn't nit pick at things.

He will land with one of the following teams for a ridiculous amount of money: Yankees, Phillies, Red Sox, Angels, Tigers or Rangers.

The Nats aren't even close to those payrolls.

Tonight will lull all of us back into thinking Homer is worth a poo. He will have a solid outing and if the offense can put a 5spot on the board they'll win. That's my take.

Well no doubt he's going to suck tonight now. He always pitches better when you are complaining about how bad he sucks. You showing confidence in him tonight means he'll have one of his worst outings of the year.

I see this is your first post but I'm not sure if you are new or not. If you're new, you have to realize that there are quite a bit of posters that say one thing and mean another. For instance, LRCW doesn't know anything about baseball. To make it look like he does, he says that someone sucks. That way, if they do well he can say that the reverse jinx worked but if they actually do suck, he looks like he knows something.

A few other posters have copied his style but most of us know those guys would hit 8th, unless Leake is pitching...then 9th, in any lineup.

Phillips, Bruce and Ludwick SUCK!

So I guess you're one of those posters that have copied my style? That means I'm your hero, and you know even less about baseball than I do. Your record speaks for itself. :sssh: :lol:

Guilty. I bow down to your vast knowledge and accept your ability to outmanage Dusty.

And I've only done it a couple of times, when the positive talk hasn't helped. It's your go to move.

It's all part of my sinister plan to keep him out of the post season rotation and confound Randy Parker.

So you admit that you have copied my style.

Once or twice, when my style wasn't working.

Just like I've agreed with you, once or twice.

Affirmative. :D

If you agreed with me more, maybe the baseball forum would be as bad in the spring as the football forum is in the fall. :D:p
