August 20, 201214 yr Is there a link within that article that I'm missing that quotes what he said at the concert other than the songs he sang?
August 20, 201214 yr I can't imagine anyone thinking the stunt Madonna pulled was okay. It was illegal where it was done, and it was both a sacrilege and an crude insult everywhere else in the world.
August 20, 201214 yr To me it's like was said earlier. It's what makes this country great. Freedom of speech we all have a voice. Some look at what Hank says as ignorant and some look at it and cheer. No really surprise. I'd expect a guy like Hank or Charlie Daniels to tell Obama where he can go. Doesn't mean they are right or wrong. This is one of my pet peeves. We have become so soft as a society that if people aren't politically correct they are totally frowned upon. My personal feelings are you have your base values you believe in. You try to educate yourself and be tolerant of others. If it crosses your values and it's something so strong it totally goes against your beliefs then you have a spine and stand up for what you believe in. Now days most people just fold their tent and do what's the norm to keep from being judged.
August 20, 201214 yr Author Is there a link within that article that I'm missing that quotes what he said at the concert other than the songs he sang? Sorry, Spin. I posted the wrong link. We’ve got a Muslim president who hates farming, hates the military, hates the U.S., and we hate him. Hank Williams Jr. says Obama hates America - National Conservative | Examiner.com

Hank Williams Jr. says Obama hates America - National Conservative | Examiner.com You honestly think what Hank did was so bad in the land of free speech? Really? While I can agree with Hank about the President not being kind to Farmers, and the Military, (I have family who are both) I think he doesn't hate the USA and I don't believe he is a Muslim! Madonna broke the local law, a little more than what Hank did in the land of free speech! Madonna doing the same thing in the USA (except stomping on the Cross) wouldn't raise an eyebrow........but she didn't do it in the USA. BTW you seemed to shy away from the Cross stomping in your first reply to my comment!
August 21, 201214 yr Man, just shut up and play. I didn't pay to hear your political views. You say that, but I'd imagine after his statement was when this crowd was probably the loudest.

BTW you seemed to shy away from the Cross stomping in your first reply to my comment! I know farmers and I know military who disagree with Hank. Now what? It's an asinine statement with no basis to support it. I've already stated CLEARLY that he has the right to say it and it's the beautiful part of being an American. I don't have a problem with someone breaking a law (if no one is harmed) in order to make a statement of protest EVEN if it bothers me. Cross: As I said previously I'm not a fan of either Madonna or Hank Jr. CLEAR?

I would rather someone speak their mind, than say something in order to appease me. You go Hank
August 21, 201214 yr You say that, but I'd imagine after his statement was when this crowd was probably the loudest. You're probably correct.
