Anytime St. X plays an out of state team...I am an X fan.

Coach Glaser had a really good interview this morning on 1450 The Sports Buzz. Did anyone else catch it?

Yes I did, Dutch Fork looks to be big and athletic. I am sure the Tigers will be in for a 4 quarters fight!

 

it's extremely early in the season but i think this game will be the foreshadowing on the direction of the team.

I had hoped to be at this event Saturday, but I'll be in Evansville. I really wanted to see the Central v Reitz game & X v Dutch Fork.

I predict this St. X team will be in a battle with Dutch Fork. It will be interesting to see who controls the line of scrimmage. Durch Fork's size will pose a major problem. Durch Fork is not driving about 10 hours to Louisville to lay an egg. They are a force to be reckoned with. My prediction is St. X 27 - Dutch Fork 21. This game will give an early indication as to the potential of this St. X. team for 2012. The coaches really seem to like this team.

This one is hard to predict for sure. I have watched film on Dutch Fork, and they are big and physical on both sides of the ball. Offensively, they appear to like to test the CB's and throw short routes. Tailback is a scatback, not real big but fast.

 

It will be hard to run up the middle against their size. I normally do not think of X as a speed team, but this year they have the tools to run it outside and try to outrun the defense.

 

On paper, Dutch Fork does not look to be as talented as the 2011 Riverdale team that St. X played (and lost to). That Riverdale team was talented, and it took X 2 quarters to figure them out.

 

I expect more from X this year and like this score pick above. I think X draws away at the end and puts a much needed W on their record.

This X squad can be considered fast. Also testing the X corners will be no problem. To address that Riverdale game from last year, that game was much closer than the score depicted. It was around 7-3 at halftime X lead, with a lot of missed opportunities. The offense sputtered throughout the season last year, but that will not be a problem this year. This will be a battle between speed and size although X does have a big strong o-line, well the Dts are big too with fast strong De's so this will be a great battle but i take X by 2tds.

The Tigers will get this one by a 28-7 count.

Glad to get a little activity going on this thread. Out of state competition is hard to figure.
