Long year is putting in lightly Jarheade. If Ryle doesn't fix there offensive line issues in a hurry, their QB may not make it through the season.

Cooper dominated both sides of the ball early. I guess Ryle's coaching staff did not watch the film from last week when Aaron Morgan returned 2 kickoffs because they allowed him to return the opening kickoff. From there, Cooper kept pouring it on. Collins and Morris played well.

I will give Nathan Davis some credit tonight, when he got some time, or like the one play, ran for his life to get time, he made some good throws.

 

Coopers D Line was everywhere tonight.

I think whoever survives out of Conner and Cooper can make a deep run.

Nice win for the Jags tonight, but I think there were some Ryle concerns when they did not hit paydirt against CCH in a scrimmage. Conner looked really, really good tonight in their last tune up against Holmes. They were near full strength, unlike their scrimmage against BW where they won. Conner will be scary good this year. Looking forward to the "showdown". :popcorn:

I'm glad my kid graduated last year and beat Conner!! You said all last year Conner was better and they got handled by Cooper. Conner may be better than Cooper THIS year but they will have to prove it on the field so I wouldn't be talking too much based on pre season practices. They were unbeatable in your mind pre season last year as well. GO JAGS!!

It is great if you can use the game to motivate your players and move your program forward but it is a disaster if you get your brains beat in two years in a row and that is exactly what is going to happen. Hopefully it is a lesson learned for Ryle.

I think Ryle is where SK was last year. When you graduate players the magnitude of Elliot/Hemple for Ryle or Lawrence/Simpson for SK, you just don't fill those shoes in one year. I admired Ryle when they beat Highlands two years ago, but Colerain is another level. After facing X in two scrimmages and Trinity in a playoff game last year I believe we can appreciate that. The constraints of being in a closed

enrollment district with a male enrollment of 875, in a class that has no upper limit, dictates certain competitive realities. I believe the expectations and objectives of the program need to be crafted to reflect these realities.
