South Laurel demonstrated their power inside as well as excellant long range shooting to move ahead of Beechwood. Beechwood never gave up against the defending state champs and fought back to make the score very reasonable.

Very impressed and surprised. Congrats to the Tigers. They have to be the favorites in the Class A..

Nice showing by the Tigers :thumb:

Game was never in doubt. South Laurel led throughout and game was a yawner. Congrats to Beechwood, though, The Tigers can play and is a good shooting team, but South was just too much for them.

Beechwood is a very nice team and will do well in the All-A

South was hot from three-land in the first half (9-16) and built a big lead of 20+. They weren't so hot in the second half, and Beechwood was, and that, combined with SL letting up a bit made this game look closer than it really was.

Still though, Beechwood has a nice-looking squad that seems capable of contending in the 9th.

Hy Steeler fan...Beechwood is in the 8th Region. Who Dey!
