August 7, 201214 yr Author Navarro hit a ball fairly deep in the RCF gap and he made a sliding catch. 1 out and bases loaded. Bruce tagged and scored. Saved at least two runs, maybe three. He had a chance at an inside the park HR if he hadn't caught it?
August 7, 201214 yr Navarro's passed ball cost the Reds a run. Well, Arredondo didn't help himself but...
August 7, 201214 yr Author On 60' bases. You said he saved 2, possibly 3 runs. If one run scored, how could he have saved 3 runs?
August 7, 201214 yr Seems like one of those nights. Hanigan hits a ball hard down the line and, for some reason, Aoki is right there. Would've plated two. That same inning someone hit a rocket to right that was caught. Aoki then chases one down in the gap. I haven't seen the entire game but I've see quite a few hard hit balls that were outs.
August 7, 201214 yr You said he saved 2, possibly 3 runs. If one run scored, how could he have saved 3 runs? I meant three runs from scoring. Technically, he just saved two.
August 7, 201214 yr Author I meant three runs from scoring. Technically, he just saved two. Gotcha. I was trying to picture exactly where he could have hit it to circle the bases.

August 7, 201214 yr Navarro hit a ball fairly deep in the RCF gap and he made a sliding catch. 1 out and bases loaded. Bruce tagged and scored. Saved at least two runs, maybe three. It was ball 4 that he swung at and hit into the gap for an out.Bases were loaded at the time so, if he would have TOOK ball 4, the run would have scored with still one out instead of two. Dusty can't see past the end of his tooth pick. Arroyo gives up back to back HR's and leaves him in so the Brewers could score more runs with a 2 run HR. The best bull pen in the world is no good if they don't play. Bronson's only good for 6 innings anyway. Blame this loss on Dusty. Arroyo's fly out bunt also cost the Reds a run, early in the game.

No, he swung and missed ball 4 that was strike 2. The ball he hit in the gap was a strike. Doesn't matter much, he still should've walked. Back to Dusty's fault. That didn't take long.

August 7, 201214 yr Back to back homers with a pitcher that usually only goes 6 innings ? Great bull pen watching all this happen. Yea, it's on Dusty, he is the one who makes the calls, right? Yeah, no starting pitchers give up back to back homers. Right, he goes 6 innings and it was the 6th inning. You want him to throw someone in that isn't ready? You can't just pull the guy, you have to give someone time to get ready. You can say that he should've taken him out after a back to back homeruns and a single but he was a groundball away from getting out of the inning with only giving up two runs. The same way he got out of the previous inning. But, if that makes you feel better about a loss, so be it.
August 7, 201214 yr So, how many of you have faith in Bronson in the post season? Me. If he is only asked to go 5 innings and turn it over to the pen.
