As repulsive and unforgivable as the actions have been at Penn State over the last decade, the Death Penalty isn't the right penalty... They gained no "competitive advantage," therefore I don't feel as if it's the right sentence. I do however think that any players that would like to transfer away from the program should be allowed to do so, and play immediately. Just my two cents.

I think it depends upon your definition of "competitive advantage". Since they did not report, sure, they were not winning multiple Big 10 Championships. But they were hiding it to protect the football program to remain competitive, I am not sure that is debatable. Maybe they lose a couple of key recruits that does not allow them to win the Orange Bowl against FSU a few years back?

 

I am not a fan of the Death Penalty and would not invoke it, but this is about as compelling of a reason for a team team to be sentenced to said punishment. I think they have suffered enough and will for the next 10 years without any additional penalty. I am fine with allowing kids to transfer if they so choose.

Can't put football on the death penalty. There going to need those revenues to pay all the millions that are gonna be awarded to those that were wronged. I'm thinking hundreds of millions.
