I found this article interesting. Wonder which school will land him?

 

 

 

On Monday, the University of Kentucky landed a new track and field coach. As a result, a Central Kentucky high school could be getting a very good basketball player.

E.J. Floreal is the son of new UK track coach Edrick Floreal. He was also one of the better high school basketball players in California last season. Floreal made ESPN’s all-state honorable mention list after averaging 14 points and seven rebounds as a junior for Palo Alto High School.

The 6-foot-4 guard got his first college scholarship offer — from Cal State Bakersfield — a couple of months ago. Tennessee is among the schools that have shown interest.

 

That’ll be good news for an area basketball coach. Edrick Floreal said Tuesday that the family hadn’t settled on a high school yet. “We’re still shopping and kind of looking around at neighborhoods.” He also said they hadn’t decided whether they would pick a public or private school.

I am with you on this one. But I wouldn't count out some schools outside of Lexington.

Is he Catholic?

Either Lexington Catholic or Lexington Christian.

I'm thinking LexCath or Henry Clay.

Everyone in the 11th region whether they admit it or not.

Just a wild guess: Montgomery County?

It might depending what the major influence of choosing schools is?

It could be Affordability.

Some choose for the religious education.

Some choose for academics, and believe it or not some choose based upon athletics only.

Of course there could be a combination of some or all of the above?

He's going to be a senior so I am thinking Henry Clay IF they do their research.

 

If I was able to move my kid anywhere in Lexington for one year in 2012-13 it'd be Henry Clay. Especially knowing he is coming from a public school.

 

I might even look at Dunbar and of course Scott County before LexCath this year.

I would say Henry Clay also. Its a nice school and should have a great team this year.
