Predict the Reds 2nd half record

Featured Replies

The Reds finish at 47-38 at the break, leaving them one game behind the Pirates. The Reds will play 77 games after the break. What will be their 2nd half record? Let's hear your predictions.

I'll start off by predicting the Reds go 44-33 in the 2nd half, and win the NL Central by 3 games.

So do you have a prediction?

Lets see...I imagine Dusty will be here so you have to factor all that.... soooo lets see 77 games 8-13 when Rolen is healthy and starts, at least seven losses to bad Dusty decisions so we are at 8-20 then 37-12 when he plays Frazier and Heisey so i'll say 45-32 andwin Division by 3 or 4 You know Pittsburg will faulter andSt, Louis pitching isnt there. So Dumsty thanks to talent wins Division :scared: Terry Francona would go 51-26 and win easy. :thumb:

48-21. The weather will keep warming up and so will their bats. Plus Latos is going to have a stellar 2nd half.

You might want to check your math.

There is no way this team will win 90 games unless Jocketty makes a move that will improve the top of the order so I'll say 41-36. At least one of the starters will suffer an injury and spend time on the DL. They have been extremely lucky that they have had the same 5 starters the entire year and that will not continue throughout the rest of the season. With any luck Rolen will go on the DL and his season will be over, otherwise he'll continue to help drag this team down. Unless Dusty changes the way he has played his lineups he will help keep the number of wins down below 90. They will finish 2nd to the Pirates or maybe even 3rd if the Cards make a move for pitching. The Reds can't beat either of these teams so they'll have to get wins elsewhere.

Rolen has to sit right? Nobody is dumb enough to believe he should play right?

Well except for the one that counts....Dusty. Look how long hestuck with Corey Patterson.

I predict they will have a better winning percentage in the second half. That puts them at 43 wins or more so I will roll with that. Leake, Latos and Bailey will all have a better ERA in the second half than they did in the first half.

That should help. I think they'll play well. The only thing that scares me is an injury to Cueto, Latos, Votto, or BP.
