July 5, 201214 yr Amani Toomer says it on Sirius Radio. I think Romo could be a better QB but hasn't shown the mental toughness that Eli has.
July 5, 201214 yr Sorry Amani, but this is a pretty stupid thing to say. Romo has better regular season statistics throughout his career than Eli has. However there are far more things that go into what makes a good quarterback than regular season stats. Eli is better at this point and there is no question about it IMO.
July 6, 201214 yr I think Toomer needs to take fantasy rankings with a grain of salt. Two rings plus his numbers are getting better.

He said that if he was looking for a QB with better completion percentage, TD/INT ratio, and Passer Rating (I think) then he would take Romo over Eli. But he did acknowledge that Eli is more clutch and has some things that Romo doesn't. Never does he flat out say Romo was better. And he at least had reasonable points.
July 6, 201214 yr ^svfan is to blame for posting it out of context Haha, I'm sure a lot of people took it out of context. They were discussing it on Mike & Mike this morning, only reason I know a little more about it haha!
July 6, 201214 yr The betting prospective on who's better. Hint. It's not even close: Romo or Manning: Which one is the Best Overachiever According to the Wisest & Sharpest Football Minds on the Planet? | Sharp Football Analysis Blog

July 9, 201214 yr I'm just going by what I seen on Twitter, can't remember who tweeted it though. I would've done the same probably and woudln't have known any different if I didn't hear them discuss the actually comments that he made. I knew it would probably get HB20's feathers ruffled a little, so I wanted to make sure I helped clarify lol.
