July 5, 201214 yr That's a lot of money for Linn..... I thought the same thing. Especially for someone that has only played 30+ games.

July 5, 201214 yr Author They seem pretty desperate to make a splash this off season. Getting Linn is a far cry from Williams, Howard or another "star." Your right though, they have been in the mix for a lot but have come up relatively empty, although their draft was solid, especially if they can make moves with their excess positions.

They definitely have excess at the forward position.
July 5, 201214 yr And they got stuck with Landry Fields didn't they? I thought I read that NY didn't match the offer sheet.
July 5, 201214 yr Toronto's contracts are simply ridiculous. No wonder they suck. Amir Johnson is 3 years into a $34M contract. Here is his scoring over those 3 years: 6, 9, and 7.

I think a lot of knowledgeable basketball heads could do better than a lot of GM's, especially with scouts and other resources at your possession.
