July 5, 201214 yr The Houston Rockets plan to offer a contract to New York Knicks guard Jeremy Lin on Wednesday, according to a report by The New York Post. The Post, citing a league source, reports the Rockets will offer Lin a backloaded deal worth roughly $30 million. According to the same source, the deal would pay Lin $5 million in the first season, $5.2 million in the second, and then would increase to as much as $10 million per year in the third and fourth seasons. What makes this offer unreal is that the Rockets just cut him 7 months ago. Their GM who if you read what Bill Simmons writes is a genius admits that they never even really watched him play when they had him for a few weeks. Unbelievalble!!
July 5, 201214 yr Author I know it sounds crazy but I think I could do a better job than some GMs, they make ridiculously bad moves. I wouldn't have paid Amir Johnson $34 a day. I hearby nominate a BGP "team" to act as a GM for an NBA franchise. I'll tell you one thing, I won't be overpaying these guys just to be mediocre. If you are going to be bad, be bad, don't be mediocre, it's the worst.

July 5, 201214 yr As a Knicks fan, I love the Kidd signing. Save money with Lin and you have someone who won't take shots away from Melo and Amare. As far as Ray Allen, I read a tweet saying the toughest part for him is abandoning KG and Pierce for half the money. Miami better sell him well.
