With there being no conviction of Clemens in his trial for lying about steroids does he get into the HOF?

I think they all should get in regardless.

I don't think this will erase the cloud of suspicion/belief about Clemens and whether he juiced. Conventional wisdom says no way does Pettite juice and Roger doesn't even though they were best friends with the same trainer.

Nor should it. A perjury conviction is difficult to prove to begin with. Not that I care one way or the other and they should be in regardless, Clemens was named in the Mitchell Report. He just had the resources and ego to defend his comments where guys like McGwire, Pettite, A-Rod, etc. did not.

Explain. Roids?

Explain. Roids?

Do you really need me to explain? Do you think OJ was innocent? Do you honestly feel Clemens didn't use Roids?

My guess would be he did. However, when it comes to a HOF vote I need some proof and not speculation.

Pettitte's testimony is enough proof for me.

What testimony? The testimony where he said he wasn't sure? Again, I need more.

His previous comments. Pettitte knew what he had seen and heard. Let's not kid ourselves. And this was comments against one of his best friends.

So you're discounting the "under oath" part?

I've not been able to stand Clemens since he forced the trade to the Yankees. That said he belongs in the Hall.

Why shouldn't I? It didn't matter to Clemens.
